  • If you want a gun that you can use that will bring you from a noob to a good player, use the M4A1.

If you want to stay a noob, use the Scar Light.

If you never want to get good long range, use the TAR.

Only noobs call other guns noob guns. I'm guessing you got headshotted too many times by someone better than you with a Scar L? You seem bitter about it.

Actually the scar light used to be my main weapon in 2009 (and possibly early 2010?). I then realized just how overpowered it was, so I stopped using it.

he's butt hurt, let the kid be
  • So now noob is equal to overpowered?

My have the times and definitions have changed. -.-

... Where did you see that?

Noobs have to use weapons like the scar light or M12s because they get more kills with them, because the weapons are overpowered.
  • also you must take in account that previous leagues have used the SL and it wasn't till ONE league banned this gun as to where it became OP, it's more of a community than statistical thing. Everyone that used it was considered a "pro," but people still used the m4 also, talk about times changing. there is no real basis to calling it a noob weapon.

Yes, I used it during the time that only pros used it. Pros also normally used SPOPs during that time.

Do you know why people that use the scar light were seen as pros? Because

    A) You needed a (somewhat) high rank (at the time) to use it.

    B) People that used it suddenly became pros. Probably because it was so easy to use.

There is a reason it was banned from leagues.
  • So it used to be a pro gun, now it is a noob gun.
Yeah, that makes total sense (sarcasm).

    ...

People that used it were simply seen as pros because they did so well in game. The reason they did so well in game was because the scar light was so easy to use.

I can't really explain it any simpler then that.

There is a reason it was banned from leagues.

    A) Rank had nothing to do with anything leagues, staff sarg 3 i think was the rank for the SL? takes the average person to reach this in 1-2 weeks

    B) But why did people still use other guns if this was the best gun at the time that was considered a non-noob gun? wouldn't everyone who participated in a league want to have an advantage, and was it the teams that dominated s5 use sl's? no no no no no no no no

and spops were removed because of ZP

ESL was a successful league for a reason, if the gun was OP, people wouldn't have participated in it and it wouldn't have gained popularity.

The game was much newer back then, and I didn't say it did have anything to do with leagues.

GP was extremely difficult to get back then, people would mostly choose the M4A1 because it's known as the standard (and still is), but they couldn't experiment unless they made new accounts and then ranked up on those accounts.

yes but the people that were seen as pro's were measured by their performance in leagues at the time.

and gp was not extremely difficult, you could play EM with a m16 and get loads of gp also you could SP which hasn't changed either...

I think they nerfed the hell out of it it's not what it used to be.

yes they nerfed the m4/sl but there is no real data to prove it and Z8 won't admit to anything along with the custom etc, M4 for sure the wallbang and i think the reload was nerfed, i never used either during that time as all i did was snipe.
  • None, get AK-47 which is perfect for both..

Does this mean you were a noob back in 2009 (and possibly early 2010?)?

I don't think you're a noob. I don't think anybody can call anybody a noob on the basis of what weapon they use.
Does this mean being a noob is to attempt to use a weapon to get the most amount of kills?
  • M4A1 - Best Rifle in the game imo

Scar Light - Great Gun ( screw the haters, this is a game, get over it )

Tar21 - Personally i've only used it once or twice ( Collects dust in my storage )

I suggest Either M4 or SL
  • I think the word noob is overrated too lol.

When we joke with our friends we call them noob as friendly banter for whatever reason ( SL, KUKRI, etc ).

The word had somehow morphed into a holy grail of using or not using something.

personally,,, call me noob. I dont care lol. It really is just a moronic concept. Everybody starts somewhere in anything!
  • OH and btw I only use the SL every once in a while. Durinf heavy Hack outbreaks sometimes I grab it. When my other guns seem not to register I give it a whirl. When there is somebody powering through my m4 shots, their body rock and rolling like it had epilepsy, acting like the m4 isnt even a mosquito on their ability to land 3 and 4 shots on me while looking like they are getting electricuted by my rounds, I give the SL a try.

I like the SL. Its a fun gun to use. I challenge myself by switching guns and mainly usuing a m4cust ( gm player mostly ) but I like the SL.

Im not impressed with the TAR21.

I would go with M4 for challenging yourself or SL for the Kills and damage ability through longer distances.

I have both. Love them both. I Use the M4 more.
  • Tar 21 all the way. It has a amazingly fast ROF and accuracy.

So let me get this straight...

You're asking me if I was a noob back when I was new and didn't know much about the game?

Derp. That pretty much defines noob.

no that's not what he is asking you... facepalm
  • M4 - best overall gun in the game
SL - I "grew up" during the Suba days and sorry, I'm a hater of the SL. I was scarred by it during the Suba days. (Vetern players know what I'm talking about)
TAR -excellent close in rifle, but not that great for far away conflicts.

no actually i would peak people with my scar heavy before i started sniping and 1 click them???

    problem officer?

Personally i like using guns that don't 1 hit HS from long range, since it makes you a better player IMO. Hell i have learned to HS people with my UZI at mid-long range, it's hard but it can be done and it makes people RQ lol.
  • Hell i have learned to HS people with my UZI at mid-long range, it's hard but it can be done and it makes people RQ lol.

So have I, bu that doesn't mean an UZI is the best choice for someone that wants to properly learn how to play long range to the best of their abilities.
  • Noob: A noob is a person that is new to some task.
Calling GunsGodMan a man that has ben playing this game for long won MOTG2 and calling him a noob isint acceptable .Now calling a gun a new gun for it being OP dosent make any sence.

Nope, a newb is someone who is new.

You're a noob, godsgunman is a noob, but gods and/or you aren't newbs.

    ;)
  • And for me an average player that played like me back in SubaGames all we needed was
    -Scar L
    -Awm
    -Degal.
That was almost it , now we have gold guns , xm8's ,and much more.
