Veggie Burgers: Morningstar Farms vs. Boca
I decided to try out some veggie burgers, and we had some Morningstar Farms veggie patties and Boca veggie patties in the freezer from the last time there was a Buy One Get One Free sale.
So, I read up online, and apparently Morningstar is much better as it has more texture, more flavor, and tastes more like a burger.
I agree with everything except the last part, Morningstar was loaded with obviously visible veggies, that completely ruined any "burger" taste.
Boca, on the other hand, was described as a "piece of cardboard". In fact, it was. HOWEVER, the fact that it had little taste improved the feeling of it being a burger, and it let the other toppings override any possible soy tasting ingredients, so in my opinion, it tasted much more like a burger.
Any opinions?
(PS: I'm not a vegetarian. Or vegan.)

And why would you eat that liberal hippy garbage vegan **** that frankly tastes as bad as it sounds.
I didn't know food could be liberal.
Why?
Because it's good to try new things, and because it is of a more healthy protein source and has much less fat.
Plus, the animals on the earth are happier. -

fat? chicken and turkey have little to none along with fish even some meats if properly cut, animals are meant to be killed, have you ever seen a food cycle? can't imagine the amount of disease there would be if animals were just allowed to reproduce and not be killed and yes liberalism is usually associated with vegetarians etc -

i also have some pictures of the veal scallopini i had today
That sounds really good right now. I might just order that.
Fallout do you like Gizzards? I had some Chicken the other day. Texture is really chewy, just like heart but a little it more grindy ( if that makes sense).
What did the scallopini taste like? Just curious. -

Yeah, but with gizzards i believe it's best to buy from a farmer's market, deposits of chemicals fed to the chicken can be found in high content in it, (that is if you eat it often it might be a problem), taste good with rosemary
veal scallopini is a very tasty dish, it doesn't require much to make it taste good, capers and lemon bring out the flavors, it is kind of fried but not too heavy, also very buttery crust/breading, good with a glass of white wine, i also made veal chops with it. you can do so much with veal cutlets and change the flavor to something you like, i just wanted to make something quick. -
I started having phobia over any type of fancy drinks so I have been substituting any wines, drinks, beers, etc with club soda or water.
But that sounds pretty good. I wasn't aware of that thing with the chemical thing. Good thing that my local butcher actually selects/inspects animals before cutting them up.
Most of the meats come from hunters, so he tends to have alot of different types of meats ranging from rabbits to peasants.
On another note, talked to my old biology teacher, and he was telling me that Turkey testes actually taste ok. Kinda scared, but curious as if I should try it. You know anyone else thats tasted it? -

i've been staying away from french wine, i received a 100 dollar bottle, was expecting it to be really good and it was awful, sticking to cali wine for a while, wine is a good drink for dinner in moderation, helps with the body etc which is another reason why i drink it minus the part out with bringing out flavors.
Also i wouldn't be too worried if you get it from a butcher, just most corporate farms use hormones and antibiotics etc which gets deposited in their organs,
never really tried anything that exotic, cow tongue is pretty good along with sheep brain which i was surprised when i first tried them, i also like pig feet but they have to be cooked right to get out the dirt flavor -

The whole mush texture makes me stay away from that. For whatever reason though, I like kidneys which have a similar but different texture so I don't know what to say.
I kind of like living in Cali because of all the liberals that stress the need for enviromental reform and all these other reforms (which I totally agree with). I don't know if other states would do the same thing.
I know Alaska and the Great lake state are pretty stringent with their fish and game department and so you know that what you are eating is pretty safe if its from the wild but the other states... make me question.... -

Yeah, plus the lakes i fish at usually are pretty remote, by my cottage up north there is no factories etc, the water is so clear, they usually show which rivers/lakes are safe to fish from, as for other states not sure but i'm pretty sure they passed something that allows companies to produce meat/poultry from cloned animals and not disclaim it on the packaging which is kind of scary to think of, i know cali is trying to fight it, hope everyone else does too. -
