PHP server status

is fsockopen blocked by the game servers? I really want to make a server status script but I think this function is being blocked.

What do you want do ?
What do you mean with the server status (online/offline ??) ?

He probably doesn't trust it and wants to do a version of that himself or something.

Thank you for hitting the point I was looking at

I am making my own server status that will look better than that site. PS it is inaccurate...look!

I tried this but I think fsockopen doesn't work with CF game server, or I am using it wrong :P.
note: I left IP & PORT intentionally blank.
