I can't stand the update.
Sure some of the features are nice, but things I thought would be fixed were not, or made worse.
I've found that registration has hit all time lows. I've had instances of single tapping a guy dead in the chest six times with my AK, then him turning and shooting me dead from 100 in half a second, and I find I only did 25 damage...
Reg has always been shady. I understand how you feel.Lag seems to be at an all time high as well, I've been noticing much more of the "kill me behind the wall" thing, as well as very delayed headshots while I ping at a highest of 50. Lag should not favor the latent, but it seems that way now more than ever.
Again I understand. I just laugh it off with "God it feels like I'm playing 1.6" jokes.Many map glitches are still available to use. Although the one in Mexico was fixed already so you can't shoot through it, you can still peak through. That is unacceptable.
Lot of glitches in this game that still are not fixed.You still stop in mid-air when you get hurt and drop straight down. I've been hounding a fix for this since Beta and nothing has been resolved.
I dont think thats a glitch or issue at all. Its the way it is in CS. I'm used to it.Options don't stay confirmed. I still have to input "Right Ctrl" as crouch every time I join a main server (Alpha, Beta, etc), only now I cannot do it during games so if I forget I am up the creek without a paddle. I have even had my Macros dissappear on me more than once now.
This is VERY VERY frustrating. I hate having to go select left handed everytime I join a game, and I have to put my mouse sens back where its supposed to be. Also my macros dont stay either.What we got, that we didn't need I might add, is an annoying "This guy who I don't know won a Deagle! Yay!", a magic-fairy sound making grenade, a new background, a new BM interface, more ZP weapons that I will never use, and more name tags and such that people only use as status symbols to say "I'm better than you because I have money to blow."
I agree with most of this, but variety is the spice of life.I understand that Z8 is a business, and businesses have employees, and employees need to be paid. But the whole system you are using is driving the average player up a wall, newbies to other games, and making the people with too much time on their hands feel like G_D.
It is disgusting.
Laugh at them. I was 16 years old driving around a 95' Ford Taurus and getting sh!t from the kids flossing around school in the SUV that mommy bought them. So many people on this game are just 13 year olds with mothers credit card in their back pocket.I've suggested this before and I'll do it again... Advertise! Get logos on the load-up screens, put ads on a marquee in the lobby, put billboards in the maps...
This is a GREAT idea. Quake Live is TOTALLY FREE and it does this exact same thing. I know I'm playing crossfire, so those billboards saying Crossfire aren't really doing anything.:steps off soap-box:

This is a GREAT idea. Quake Live is TOTALLY FREE and it does this exact same thing. I know I'm playing crossfire, so those billboards saying Crossfire aren't really doing anything.
Yeah, the reg has always been off and on but every time there is an update it gets worse and worse...
I play 1.6 still, I'm CAL-M, I'm in several clans. To me CS is a benchmark online FPS. At least Valve tends to keep things up to date with their games.
That being said, I really don't joke about 1.6. I rarely find issues with it other than a few map glitches here or there.
Also, CS doesn't have that "lag compensation" nonsense. If he is pinging 150 and I am pinging 30, I am going to kill him before he sees me. In CF it seems someone will pop out, I'll shoot them , then when they take cover I'll get hit by them. Repeat 2 or 3 times and I'm dead without doing them any damage. Why? Oh, they ping high. It should not delay their position in the map, it should make them lag... Simple enough. I'd rather see choppy animation and people running around like they are being controlled by someone with a pause button and a twitchy finger than have to deal with getting shot by people who I am behind...
I'm not sure how it is possible, but that is how Z8 made Crossfire...
The jumping glitch in CS is news to me. I can launch myself out of windows towards ledges, get lit up, find footing and keep going. Not so in CF. In 1.6 I frequently jump through doorways and around corners to avoid getting shot. In CF if you jump and get touched it makes you a sitting duck. Many times I try to retreat and end up hopping away to my death.
Valve advertises in their games as well. Not sure what they intend to gain as their games are for purchase, but it's all good if it keeps the servers maintained... -
finally, more coupon weapons. great patch. is it really that easy to win super kriss? *starts to get tempted to buy zp*
too bad all resolutions r still useless to me
also the new comparing thing isn't exactly an improvement. some of the yellow squares are not correct and the stats arn't side by side so really there's no comparing.
cool map. ladder knife fights are halarious. we'll take as many maps as we can get.
my compliment sandwhich -
1. PSG-1 shoots full-auto when scoped and when it's not shoots just once when you hold the fire!
2. I have all types of nades + the nade item but I can use only 1 nade!
3. I've been told they already found 2 glitching places on the new map!
4. The green text showing that someone had won is annoying + flooding the chat!
5. The new BM is good in general but that rolling thing with the button must go in some casino it's not meant to be in a game like this + it makes you feel like your FPS rate drops when its about to stop which is annoying! Can't we just press open and se what we win!?
Some thoughts:
Nothing for the EXCLUSIVE CF mode(again)! All the other modes have like 10 maps all we do is 4 maps(3 in fact cause Relix sux). As far as i know cheats are not fixed!!! All $ patch - don't tell me you can win coupons with GP crates cause to get them you need to convert ZP into GP. The wide resolutions are still not working despite I have added and tested them manually in the video center(or whatever was called that driver thingy).

The new patch is cool. The coupon guns are awesome i like the new guns. I like the new map too.
I dont like the BM however, it seems slower than the old one and well the old gamble slot seemed better IMO.
The new skins are awesome it makes CF look better. I have to re put my sounds/marks in but thats no problem.
The grenade packs dont work in ghost mode which i dont like. I dont know if its a bug or not but id like to have them back in GM. Takes away the point of me having the grenade pack now that im playing a lot of gm rather than SD.
Other than that I like the new patch. Im just hoping i get the zp i bought and never got today so i can throw some heart grenades! -
The new patch is fine.. the new SD map is really good made, the new guns r pretty nice 2, i like them
Good to mention r the fixed bomb plating places on Eagle Eye and Port, thats really a improvement to the gameplay.
Coz the hacks didnt got patched yet, i dont mention that point on my post.
But i noticed a little Bug in the Storage - when i finished my game i cant repair my guns through the Repair All Weapons Buttons, i get a Error saying Repairing failed, but when i click on the repair button close to the guns its the most time working fine. The Buddy Server seems to be down for w/e reason for me, but i heard, its working for others fine, so i just be patient and wait, until it updates itself^^
And it might be just me, but since the new patch my ping went from 130 to 140/145 - not really much difference, but still just a bit bader..
But overall, i like the new patch.. pretty good work gm's

Lol I decided to do the same. I seen 45 people win a gun so vapor went and splurged on crates and got gp lol. The new map is sweet and it seems the hackers are still ruling the game but I stown them to (sometimes).The ak with knife is bad ass but I havnt used it yet
But over all the patch was needed so good job modsss
