Dear admin, your excuses may be, and are suitable for a 12-year-olds, they are not suited to the thinking part of your company's customers.
Yes, I participated in a fake competition in your category "Best Feature Film"(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jvp8wpo35Cs). And my job is objectively much better than the so-called winners.
And if I did not win, it was only for three reasons:
- I am not an employee z8games, I'm not a friend or acquaintance of an administrator or a member of the jury
- I do not live in Canada / UK
- Artistic tastes of the jury is left to be desired
I do not care for the prize, because I know objectively that made a great movie, which is confirmed by the comments in more than 10 sites and reviews of people I meet in the game. For me the main thing.
It's a shame that the contest was originally unjust and not worthy of winning, but the moderators.
PS Next year? No, thx. No more free quality advertising for your company!
We received over 1400 entries for the CFFA's. Was yours one of them? Did you submit one in the comedy category? There were 162 entries there.
In fact we all wanted to give the award to this one:

But as you can see it was made on July 2011 and has nothing to do with the Film Awards. (should be noted that this video was submitted multiple times)
Also, freehat was a runner up, not a winner. But he does make great videos.
So the real question/comment here is that if you think you could do a better job then get out there and do it! The winners of these prizes did some pretty amazing things, and only 6 Ribbons could be awarded. We looked at every single one of the 1400 videos (even though lets say well over 50% of them were disqualified). So there is always a chance for next year!

Sir, your video was VERY good. But the Game-Play and edits, didn't follow through.
I can see that you put a lot of time into it though. You surely know what your doing, but what the CF judges where looking for. Was for some Spas, crazy, and just given it out their. When I watched your video, I felt like sure this is great(I mean very great) but it's not what's giving me that OMG! Wow! feeling. Keep trying, DON'T GIVE UP! Because if you used some more Crazy Game-play and edits, you will pull it off.

Just to comment on the UK/NA bit of the OP, I am pretty sure that 1, maybe 2 of the winners don't live in that region...
The CFFA's arnt corrupt in any way, and I have major respect for those who managed to actually get a video out and to the judges who spent however long watching them all. -

All montages are good but his was better and as sadian said THERE is next year so maybe you go out and get clips like him do some simple clean edits....And yes people are going to leave good comment cause the CF community is not mean.....And sadian can care less if you really do it next year hes just giving you the option.
Also blind.dil does not work for z8 or anything and just cause a mod wins means nothing you are making them fear giving the price to a mod because you hate z8 for that? Thats not alright...
Where you live thats what you say is why they hate you no..they dont care whats the difference -

Well, as i sad, i dont need that "admins" change threir minds and i dont need a prize. I just talking that comp was unfair. First of all: employees of z8games should not be allowed to participate in the contest, let alone win, and even more so for two consecutive years. Only it is not just a suspicion about the honesty of "voting" and is just "not nice" to other participants (not just specific to me).
Secondly, this contest is not only for residents of Canada (if so, then let it just be provided in the rules).
Third, it is not too much has been decent movies, not to distinguish bad from good.
And speaking specifically about my video, I applied for "Best Feature Film", so freehat, Blind..another categories I have absolutely no interest. But, sorry, really, "funeral" video of the winner or "lagging video" second place is better? No, this is not so!
Just search on youtube: "cffa 2012" or "crossfire film awards 2012". 2nd and 4th places - my video. I think google know better "who really popular". -
Popular =/= good, and you can't reward everyone. It's not an Exam, where all the good videos are rewarded, but a competition, where the best video will win (whether it's good or not).
There are judges, and of course they can't be completely objective, but you trusted their judgement the moment you entered the competition. -

Correct. Of course if you had won and were in Canada, USA or UK then you would also receive the mouse. Why? Your video was ok but not the best the choices for the places were good because those videos were better than yours. Plus your video almost was all intro like really it was pretty boring. -
Your vid was ok.... You think yours is better because you made it and spent probably a lot of time making it that it blinds you from even contemplating that the other were in fact better.
Also so what if a mod won? They are not employees of z8games they are just another community member who help around on the forums... There isnt really a lot to do for comedy (which was tha category the mod won in) and I think Hi did a decent job of it. I found it pretty amusing in parts and obviously so did the judges. -

Alright, here's what I saw.
- Your intro smooths were terrible, cliche as **** and had stuttery hand movements. Get creative.
- Bland colours that gave 0 to the movie's quality.
- More bad smooths with bad hand movements.
- You completely failed to capture the theme of the song. There was no peak in your movie, it was the same bland thing all the way through.
- Ghosting all over the place.
- Bad frags. Like, really bad. At one point you got a deagle spam and a typical awm shot. How is that supposed to be good?

It doesn't matter how many idiots say your video was good, do you know how many people like the ****ty screamo clips that like EVERY german puts out? They're popular as hell, doesn't mean they aren't terrible.

Half the video was watching a bunch of teams just stand there, other half was frags of you spraying and no effects when you got the frags. Lots of the parts you should've just skipped instead of having the fast forward because it's boring to watch. No sync with the song either.
Just because your comments were positive and your friends liked it doesn't mean that it's better than the other videos that were submitted. Suck it up instead of embarrassing yourself, QQing about not winning. -
