Quick question about CFFA

Now as for my question, will G4Box be changing the definition of the word unique as they did with the word exclusive? I'm just wondering for the sake of the people working hard and spending their time and effort into winning this event, I wouldn't want them to feel cheated by a change of the rules later on.

Unique could be taken in 1 of 2 ways.
Unique as in a one of a kind ribbon per category, meaning the winner of best feature film may get a different ribbon from best short film.
Unique as in it's a unique ribbon which can only be gotten by winning the CFFA category.
I guess we have to wait to find out.

You have won a "best of" category in the Cross Fire Film Awards 2011
Unless they change the 2011 to 2011/2012, I think I'll be getting another ribbon. I'll confirm it. -

Unique does not necessarily mean custom. Unique may mean it's unique to every other ribbon.
Exclusive does not mean exclusive to any group of people or clan (in this case OldLegends and the Golden Katana). The GM Clan has the Golden Katana. -
Godsgunman no one cares about your Gold Katana and March of the Ghosts: II, drop it already. If you were to think closely, that Katana would of been on the hands of another clan if Saidin wanted to remove those hack clan wars records, which he could of, but he just let it go and set the results to "stone".
Stop whining and suck your Katana up. He decides when to bring it and when to remove it, not you. -

According to one of the mothers of the English Language that's not what the word means.

It clearly states there in your quote "exclusive can't-be-bought".
And that is still true, it can't be bought. It's exclusive because no one can obtain unless it is given to them.
That's where one of Merriam's definitions come into place. "restricted in distribution, use, or appeal". It's restricted to only people that are awarded it for certain reasons. Therefore it's distribution is limited and restricted.
It's like saying that the GGG isn't exclusive. It is now because it can't be obtained by any normal means.
Edit:
As for the main purpose (at least I hope) about "unique ribbon". It can be taken in two ways. Either each ribbon per category is unique in itself, or it is like last year where it is unique because it is limited to those that won it.
When Saidin has a moment of spare time, we'll make sure he can clear that up. -

For the sake of finally closing this thread before it goes further, I got a response.
The ribbon will be unique from the ribbon last year. It will not be unique per category. All ribbons won this year will be the same as each other, different from the ones already given out in 2011.
