Client errors out of control?
Just now I got a client error becaus I jumped from A top on Eagle Eyes to the box down below. The moment I got on the box I got the error. I was ace with 24/9 score, and we were ahead 11-8.
I've had it before where I would only touch a box and I'd get the client error.
What could cause this to happen so much? Because I'm sure I didn't have that many client errors in the past.

This should be some error in the system. I get more kinds of crazy error than you.
1, Right at the moment I enter the game, error...
2, At the moment you can press E to become commando in HMX but you got mutated, error...
3, Got killed in the smoke, error...
And more things that's all I can remember. I hope the admin will notice and help fix the bug -

They've touched up the client error system to stop glitchers. I mean before all this people were glitching in boxes in walls up walls on roofs etc. this is one way to stop them. However it is getting a little out of hand. -
That's by far not all.
Lag... You get killed by players you don't even see. You are behind the wall but you get killed by an lagger because on his screen you are freezed and visible.
You shot an enemy, you see his blood but you didn't made a single dmg on him.
CF is a bad game. -

Also, it seems that everyone hak. I hit some1, and their head got knocked back and blood came out, but i died. I was using a kukri! I shot some1, and apparently no damage, even though there were blood stains on the wall near the person I shot. Last, the most annoying one: people walling, and laggers who get stuck and run in the spot, then sudddenly everyone got mutated. Z8 FIX ALL THESE STUFF OMFG -

If players are glitching they get kicked nowadays. Crossfire really messed up this time.
They added in every game now kikvote systems wich gets abused and for issues like glitching they can create client errors.. Why create client errors while glitchers can get simply kicked? -

First off glitchers rarely got kicked.
Secondly you people must be lagging and/or have horrible FPS. I say this because i rarely get client errors and i have 50-60ish ping and about 70ish FPS.
The thing with lag and/or low FPS is that you think you're not anywhere near the wall, box, etc, but in reality you lag into these objects.
Summary- You lag, they aren't changing anything and stop QQing. -

Yea buts thats them, you wouldnt liek to be them thats why they omplaing. -_- b sides i also have 58-62 ping and about 30-40-50ish FPS. -
Getting shot very occasionally by a glitcher which you could indeed kill most of the time is not worth giving thousands of players client errors.
Not only do client errors annoy people, they also:
Shaft people out of GP
Shaft people out of EXP
Ruin missions (making them longer to complete if you get it on the last round of MM for example)
Cause you to lose your spot in a room a lot of the time (you client and a nub joins)
Ruin your honor (whether you care about it or not)
Cause games to be lost (you the only decent player and you get a client on a critical match deciding round)
Spoil games.
Give you a 1+ loss.

And sure you'll be saying but not all glitchers were in boxes some were in pillars in Egypt (that is a hack) and how about fixing these errors or removing them? It's not one or the other, you can stop glitchers instead of giving everyone errors. -

Yes, just make EVERYTHING inside a box/wall a damage zone. At least this way you could maybe die if you're pushed all the way inside a wall or loose some HP, but it won't be a game breaker. -

Not sure if that was directed at me, but since I'm the thread starter: I don't lag. I have ~120 fps in 16 slot S&D rooms. Also got a steady 18 ping in the UK server.

Thanks, that about sums it up. It's kind of sad if you're in a game for 15+ rounds and all of a sudden out of the blue you get a CE. I know they changed it to help get rid of glitchers. But I hardly saw any, so I don't see what the point is.
Also, I wonder if the "Send Error Report - [OK] / [CANCEL]" actually does something? Or is it there to just close your game? -
Same here...today I was playing cf i got client error 5/12 games I played (it shows client error then everything freezes and I go to Lobby) and out of this 12 games I also got GM something error where the whole game just closes down. Also when I Cw I got Host error too. Why is this happening so much recently?

While I understand his side of the argument, I don't agree with it. Sure the client is annoying, but hacks that got rid of damage zones were pretty popular before the client errors were implemented. Most people RQ about 3 kills into getting hack farmed, which causes the exact same consequences stated above, but you also gain 3 or so deaths.
Basically, I want the client errors to stay. A little bit of tweaking is needed, yes, but I'd rather have this than the damage zones. -

How bout 21/2 in GM
9/2 in a CW in 5 rounds
7/1 in a CW in 3 Rounds
Carrying my team and I error out, sucks that you cant rejoin during a CW, but w.e
Client Error while clutching 1V3 -.- On the last round when the score was 8-9

While I understand his side of the argument, I don't agree with it. Sure the client is annoying, but hacks that got rid of damage zones were pretty popular before the client errors were implemented. Because damage zones can be coded against by hack makers? How long will it be before they send false info to the server saying they are not in a wall/box and really they are?
Oh and another thing I forgot being removed from CW games with clients and not being able to report an hacker or save a replay of your epic gameplay. -

Sorry for the late reply. When the hacks were really bad, hackers inside poles, boxes, or under the map weren't all that uncommon. Xtrap is doing a good job lately, so I guess hackers won't be that much of an issue, but glitchers would ruin MM/HM/HMX like they did with MM in the past.
Also, seeing as how the recent release of hacks have teleport to enemy base hacks, I'm pretty sure defeating a damage zone isn't much of a problem, as it's been seen through hackers in the poles in Egypt, and hackers under the map. Both those gave instant death I believe, so yes, hackers can code the damage zones away.
The last part I understand is a nuisance, but CWs need to be fixed overall, and is a totally different issue. -

...so why is it that the system is working 'oh so well' now that those problems had subsided?
I love getting pushed through a wall because some stupid 200 ping chump speeds through my body when I was in mid-air with a jump...
...or that desk/bar in S&D EagleEye in the hotel (B side)...if you try and crouch on it to get a view out the B long window you'll shift through it like glitchers shifted through boxes...and you'll get a nice BS error for doing something you should be able to. -

Well it pretty much ruined MM/HM. Glitchers getting into the infamous Port box made you wait for a whole 2 minutes, and they rarely got mutated. Hackers at one time were able to get into the poles in Egypt, and just 1shot you the whole time, and you had no way of damaging him. Hackers going under the map were also common.
I'm not saying that client error system is perfect. I just think it's better than damage zones because hacks could easily bypass them. -

Hacks are a xtrap issue, fixing glitchers is the devs job, so minus the hackers in pillers and in walls we had box glitchers mainly.
And I didn't see many of them and they were killable, so like I said it's not worth the multitude of problems given to thousands of people just to stop this, not unless they put the client errors in areas you shouldn't be.
Seriously people playing this game that didn't know what these errors are would think the game sucks, client error = error with the game client.
Below the brown line represents a box (it could be anything though), the blue is our current client error zone (although I would actually say it's like only a few pixels from the brown), the red is where the client error code needs to be - Far in enough to stop ordinary players getting it but near enough to the edges to not allow people in the box.
