If we DIDN'T NEED to sleep, yep, some amazing things.

But if we simply DIDN'T sleep while needing it, we'd be long extinct.

I don't like spending time inert, feels like a waste.
But I recognize the need for my brain to perform at its best at all times, and adjust accordingly.

That's why over the years I broke it down like this.

8 hours of work. 8 hours of sleep. 8 hours of time to yourself.(Average Joe)

So decided the better alternative was: 8 hours of work. 4 hours of sleep. 12 hours of time to myself.(My method. Most peoples body reject it but. I'm use to it. Sometimes throwing 12 hour work days in the mix here and there.)

its actually only 1/3 of your life sleeping.

And without sleep you couldn't function daily, so it is essential

As a toddler you sleep more often then you usually do.

Same as if you are a senior citizen.

And I mean if we didn't need to sleep. I fully understand that we need to sleep, it's just that it is a waste of time.

I don't sleep much, a few hours a day. If you get your body used to it, it's fine. (mentally)

And no i don't care if i die young. I don't want to be old :P
