New Patch: First Thoughts

The black market resign is very nice. I can't wait to see all those crate slots filled up.


The new map is sniper friendly outside, but very close in once you get into the bombsites. A site is very nade friendly, while B site offers very little cover while planting. Lot of corners and boxes to hide behind making the map idea for slow play. I would suggest GR NOT rush out and instead wait a while in the bombsites for entry kills.

The AK Knife is SWEET. I love the clicking sound it makes when you stab and the fact that its a one hit kill is amazing. Can't wait to see how the GMers will make use of it. Takes "poking around for ghosts" to another level. Well done.

However I rather dislike the amount of stuff for coupons and the price. Thats a lot of money if you want to get some of those upper tier guns (Awm camo can be bought perm). But I understand its a business, so hopefully I get lucky on some crates.

The new resolution is a great feature, and I'm sure there are plenty of other tweaks that I have not had the chance to play with. The new login screen was a nice surprise.

I don't really like the 'spin' button as its just a waste of time, but I'm sure it appeals to some players. I'd honestly be okay with "You open crate. Receive Super Kriss V, 1,000,000 GP, and Flash Guard 3 day." But thats just me.


All of the players I've played with so far REALLY dislike the -bright distracting HEY LOOK AT ME- green text when someone wins something. I don't see the point in it at all. Would like an option to toggle it.

M4 Gold is +8 bullets, which is almost on the verge of OP, but the user has to put up with walking around with what amounts to a nerf gun.

The new name tags are sweet. Being a huge fan of Columbia, you can believe I'll be wearing that if I have any ZP left over after I splurge on the BM (When the issue with my ZP gets worked out, that is)


I'm disappointed that the SG-Camo is not GP or even Perm. Same with the Red PSG as its a rather under used gun and could use a boost in popularity. I'm happy that the field shovel is available for 90 days.


I like the new Weapon Comparison interface. I think the Heart Grenade is a bit overpriced though.


All in all, a good patch. Disappointing for non-zp buyers though, hopefully something will come out to attend to them. Big thanks to the guys who came onto vent and stayed up all night waiting for this with me. Had maybe 20-ish at peak, plus the love of my life sitting in there laughing at me and Zoom.


Thanks to z8 for releasing this 9 minutes before I said I was going to go to bed. Hopefully my ZP issue gets sorted out and I can work my way towards that Kriss and perm AWM.

Just me or did we get a boost in GP?
