Cpu 100% usage

Hi guys,
my name is Caio,
and i have a 4cpu processor (phenom ii x4 955 BE 3.2GHz) 4Gb of Ram and 1Gb Ati 4550 Graphics Card,
when i play crossfire, i've getting lag more than normal,(the game runs normal, with no errors),but is instable, sometimes my ping reaches a 1000 and back to normal in a second,
i've looked in processes and the crossfire, more especific HGWC.exe is taking 100% of 1/4 cpu, in game and after game, after closed the CF i need close HGWC.exe with task manager to processor back to normal.
i don't know what doing this, i play CF more than 1 year, and not getting this thouble in other patches, i not remember the patch caused this.
my normal ping is 100~120.
please see what causing this error.
waiting anwser...
thanks for all, and sorry my bad english.
the recents patches are cool and i like this game!!!
Xbigode.

I noticed this yesterday also.I have an amd phenomII 4 x975 4x3.60 ghz.
I was downloading and watching a film and had finished playing crossfire a few hours before. But the 1st of the 4 processors was running at 100% when i looked in task manager it was HGWC x32 and I also had to close it manually which i've never had to do before.Would be interested to hear what GM's have to say
    .
Also xtrap kept patching the same file every time i started crossfire up.Meaning it updated 6 times yesterday which surely wouldn't be possible especially as it was a sunday-
  • CF doesn't use more then one core. It not coded for multi Core support.

OK thanks that explains why only one processor was running at 100%.But why did I have to close HGWC manually when I'd finished playing the game and had closed crossfire down a few hours before?

That I can't explain other then when you closed the game it didn't shutdown properly or as they call it "App Hang". So not sure why that happen.
  • Hi guys,

    Thanks again for all.
