Uploading scrims to youtube

It took me a near 30 minutes to upload a 55 second clip to youtube. Is there a format other than wmv I can use that makes the file smaller so I dont have such a long wait for uploading but maintain the same quality?

i need to render a 30 minute match in semi decent quality in a short amount of time.

any thoughts?

not sure, but i suggest just put your video on a flash drive and go to the library and upload it there, takes 5 minutes.

What are you rendering the vid as?

One min clips should take a barely a few minutes @ 90KB

try using i think its sony avc not sure then customize the settings

I think if you render it as a MP4 file, it'll be a smaller file. Or, you could render it as an uncompressed AVI file (NOTE ITS REALLY BIG) then put it into to H264, the file will be small in the end.

nope, .wmv and .mp4 are about as compressed as it's going to get

try to upgrade your upload speed, only way of doing it faster, only takes me about 15 min to upload a 1gb file, so i'm fine.

I mean 30 minutes as in render time plus upload time. If I'm rendering and uploading an entire scrim (both halves) which, lets say, would be 10 minutes long each, I'm looking at around 5 hours total (if my math is right).

5 hours for uploading scrims? Your internet's slow, you should really upgrade it.

You really can't read, can you?

5 hours would be the estimate time of both rendering and uploading, based on this upload test.

I can download an entire 1.5 gigabyte movie in twenty minutes.

You can use a video converter and convert it to a smaller tipe of file, i uploaded a 30 sec's video format avi and it took me 1 hour to upload it then i converted it and it took me like 15 min's

lol. For a 15 second clip for me, it'll end up taking 20-30 minutes to render, with a HIGH chance @ the first slowmo it'll crash for an "unknown reason".. Anybody have a dl link for 9 or 10? I think it might be my 8 making the renders mess up >_>
