Recovering Replays?

I know "back in the day" there used to be a way to recover a replay if you forgot to save it. Is this "tactic" still around around or does it work anymore? Is there any other ways or am I out of luck? I'm building a clan video and I recently had a 6 kill (full star) 6 HS (no spay, controlled bursts) 1 v 6 clutch, but of course I was to shocked to save the replay. Any assistance would be appreciated. :)

    Was removed when they changed the replay system.

    Before if you forgot to save the replay, you could go into the replay folder and find the one with .tmp at the end and change it to .cfr.
    Had to do it before you start the next game. Very useful if kicked from a game and wanted to report a hacker.

    Yeah they took it out. Unfortunate as it is, it was a foolish action to take.

    They said that with the new replay system, it was impossible to have that .tmp replay saved.

    Now if you join a room full of a clan, and they hack, then boot you, you can do nothing about it, because the replay is lost.

    If I'm not mistaken during a match a file is made much like the old .cft (or whatever it was...) files (probably the same extension anyway...) that holds the replay information and it gets deleted when the player fails to save it.

    HOWEVER, I'm going to assume that the file is not write/read protected at the final scoreboard screen and it could POSSIBLY be saved by a 3rd party program before it's deleted...

    Someone could make a program (and Z8 wouldn't be able to cry foul about it, as it actually has nothing to do with the game client itself, and falls WAAAAY outside of the ToS and their rights...it IS a file residing on your computer and you can copy and move it as you wish without any possible repercussions...) that copies it to a secondary location and/or renames it before CF deletes it.
