Observation Mode?

So i was playing some Hero Mode X and i got a 6k and it suddenly said Observation Mode Activated what does that mean? o-o

Seems interesting.
Was that text on screen or something audible?

If you got another 6k will it recreate this "saying"

I believe it's supposed to pop up when you die as a commando, but I've once seen it pop up for no reason while I was alive as a commando.

I think I've seen this happen in a video somewhere on youtube, but it was from such a long time ago it's not in my video history anymore.

In HMX, you pretty much always respawn, so when you die permanently from an melee attack or as Commando, you get to spectate others. Thus why it shows observation mode.

I don't know if it was supposed to be free look (with that name) or the same spect system as any mode.

Anyway, it means you're dead and will not respawn until the next round and that you're free to watch your teammates depending if you were Soldiers/Commando or Mutants/Xeno.

But he was alive... and it was after he got a 6k. Makes no sense. Bug?
