Technical Support can't help me, how sad is that [GM]
It's been over 2 weeks now, and I have been sending in tickets almost every day now.
All technical support tells me, go to the forum.....
I have a Gateway MX8738 with Vista HP on it(32 bits). My anti-virus is Microsoft Security Essentials.
I have uninstalled & reinstalled 5 times now, and yes I turned off my anti-virus & firewall.
Also I did a clean reboot every time, and added CF to my anti-virus.
This is what happens when I start CF; HGW will load to 94%, then I get a X-Trap error;
CODE FIELD 02-0300-00000000-211
So technical support, I have asked you guys what this code is before. And you still can't tell me. And how to fix it. All I get is, Go to forum.....Sad. Even after I gave them all the info, they needed.

Do you have Daemon tools or any other software that emulates a drive? This error is generally caused by Xtrap detecting a virtual drive. -
I've got the same problem, also started two weeks ago, GM kept saying to uninstall the game ,,, blah ,,, but not working, @[GM]hpx how I shall delete the daemon in windows XP ?
P/s what kind of software could do this? because I got many things in my PC... -
Daemon Tools still has an active kernel driver even when the virtual drives are disabled. Personally I use Poweriso for mounting ISO's since it doesn't use a kernel level driver.
It could also be due to a conflict with other games' anticheat systems. Some, like Punkbuster, have active running processes even if you aren't playing the games that use it.
For starters, try deleting the xtrap folder. When you start the game again it should download a new copy. -

and I have another thing to say, when I delete the crossfire folder and I extract the game from the client again it only work one time, then if I close the game and try to login again it get stuck on 94% -

If you let it sit, does it work? HGWC is a file checker, it could just be taking a long time to check files. -

I've run crossfire with safe mode and X-trap showed error ( x-trap wasn't able to
run ..etc ).
Then I restarted my PC and selected safe mode with networking and still HGW stop at 94%.
And here's the processes in safe mode with networking ( took it while HGW was stuck on 94% ) :

Go to your RF016-RF017 right click properties and screenshot that, make sure both files are "Read and Write". -
Today I've downloaded the game again and did every step listed in this post

I checked the RF016-RF017 both were un-selected read-only, and then I did both files read-only, tried to run game again but still stuck on 94%
here's the screens of the files properties as you wanted :

Unzip these folders and overwrite with your current and see if it works.
I've replaced the two folders, and when I run the game, X-trap downloaded some files, but HGW still stop at 94%... still checking ... I will let it checking for couple of minutes

From all these tests it doesn't seem to be a problem on our side or your Crossfire installation, it would seem as if something on your computer is not letting HGWC finish the scan or scan those files. -

anyway, how I have to know which file could not let HGWC finish the scan?
duh damn, i only need 54minutes to get the ribbon now I'm sure I wont get it ,,, pff
