How is xm8 Advanced different than xm8?

Well the normal XM8 is a one-hit headshot through a box.

And even when shooting at the body or chest through a box it isn't that different like the damage from a XM8-Adv's damage (when it is different want I don't think).

Any gun when it shoot through the box without reduce dmg. If it reduced dmg, then it doesn't call wallbang anymore because every gun can shot through the wooden boxes but some reduce, some are not.
