Hard Scoping
I've been playing this since 2009, and I still have no idea why people rage at others for being "hardscopers".
Did the term just come over from COD and get applied to this, or is there some benefit to doing it that people think is unfair, despite having equal opportunity to do the same? Personally I quick scope so I can see better, but I don't see why others can't hardscope.

The "hard scope" saying comes from the call of duty players. Either way, you're sniping with a virtual gun on a video game. I've never understood why people care. -

hardscoping (in CF): something the "pro's" made up. When they get shot they call you a hardscoping noob because they quickscope noobs in the trainee servers all the time. They also need to find an excuse for their death, hence why they call you a hardscoping noob.
I also laugh and tell them if I'm a hardscoping noob, what does that make him, walking in my bullet like a boof.
It's an unwritten saying that the cool people made up. Ignore and carry on. -

Staying still and "hardscope" is the proper way of sniping.
The highest sniper record is held by an American marine, 180 shots or something...forgot. He had autobiography out recently, called "American Sniper".
I saw him on TV. Basically, he lays down prone and stay still, only right hand moves to reload. -
Yesterday when the mission was 10 games in Orbital Station I decided to go farm my sniper badge a bit. Using my FR-F2 and getting scores like 60/9 in 100 kill matches :P All the 'pros' I was killing were QQing about me being a hardscoper. Funny thing was that I mostly quickscoping anyway.
One of the stupider things to QQ about IMO. Like I'm supposed to just take the qs shot even if it'll miss then try again? Nah. I think I'll just take a second to aim. Enjoy dying again while you type "Quickscoper noob!" -

DSR-1 is actually bolt action...it just happens to be semi-auto.
And I'd have to say anyone stupid enough to play the game without thinking about walking or peeking around corners for hard-scoped snipers need not play. Complaining about defending is like screaming at the keeper for blocking your shot...
