exchange the dogtags and try to win the XM8 Spring. If you win it or not, you will ahve motivation to do daily missions and get all the dog tags back.

There is no reason to NOT exchange it. Who knows what will come in the future.

It seems the consensus from this thread is to wait it out until D.E scope crate return. And I agree with that.

As for people who are worry that next month (or patch), the dog tag reward would be switch to a temp bronze nade, please re-read Saidin's patch note.

It's monthly reward (after completing 20 missions I assume) that would get you the temp bronze nade, not from the dog-tag reward.

Change the idea

Maybe instead of the D.E scope crates, we could choose 5x of any ZP crate, but not seasonal ones because that'd be a bit unfair. But imagine that...

Like some people already stated, exchanging the dog tag for the XM8-Spring isn't a good idea. You'll have it for 90 days but I don't think you'll use it for the whole duration. It's like an XM8-Adv except uglier (no small feat btw). You can always pick it up from people that got it.

On one side : a temp weapon with nothing exceptionnal about it (except one of the most horrible reskin job I've ever seen)

On the other side : 5 ZP crates, from which you can get an average of 15-17k GP, around 2-3 coupons, some interesting temp ZP weapons, and a chance to win a DE-Scope (I've got mine on the 35th crate opened, all from Dog Tag reward).
I've got at least 70 crates, 30-something coupons and over 200.000 GP thanks to these crates.

The equation is easy : 5 DE-S crates >>> XM8-Spring

I'm going to keep my dog tags until a better reward comes in. If the next reward still sucks then I'd still have no reason to redeem it. You can keep doing the mission and earn the daily 500 GP so you lose nothing (except a chance to temporarily own an XM8 plastered with pictures of flowers).

I agree, 5 DES crates are way better i wont exchance coupons untill DES comes back (hopefully)
