error loading nvcpl.dll

I keep getting this error every time I start up the game. I can still play the game, but it is very, very annoying and I should not be receiving this error. I re-installed the game 3 times and it the error keeps popping up. I did a Google search on the error and have tried every fix I've found at least once. Nothing works. Please, someone help me.

I have tried:

Re-installing the game
Cleaning my registry
Manually placing the "nvcpl.dll" file in the CF folder and my system's folder (yes, I registered the dll file in my registry)

Yeah, um, I need some help. It's been a day and I've been putting up with this error for over three weeks now. Aren't there any admins who can help me? Or can they only help with easy problems?

Not really sure but it could have something to do with your antivirus check and make sure CF is aloud.

i also get that message , i open crossfire , then click start game , 20min after that i get downloading nvcpl.dll failed , and cant start game, pls tell me what to do

You should go to microsoft.com and search available updates for your computer that might work

I'm also have problem with this error, and I don't know how to fix it.

The file in question is the Nvidia control panel app. Try updating your video drivers to the most recent version. If that doesn't work, you may be able to temporarily disable the nvidia control panel before playing.
