HMX/HM Knockback
So I won an M60-Adv from the badge, and I figured it would be fantastic to use in HMX or HM.
So I went into a camper position in the Excavation cage, but for some reason, the weapon fails to knock the mutants back, and they mutate me within seconds. I tried over and over, with differing distances and burst shotting, but the mutants always get me.
Any help on how to improve this?
I've also noticed this before acquiring the M60-Adv, but much less, because I usually walk around the map Jackhammering all the mutants until I run out of ammo.

As said above, there is no knockback. It doesn't need it.
However, I find the M60 (i only have the regular) to be quite beast in this mode. Only thing better is the Minimi I think.
The ADV is even more epic. If your good at holding your ground and controlling the m60 (its really easy) you can rack up a good amount of points easily.
If your worried about ammo, slap on a mag. -

There is no knockback in HMX, because you already do 240% more damage than normal, so having knockback would be hell for everyone. Besides, I used to use an AK-Knife to HS mutants and stab them when they got close and got them killed and they couldn't respawn

There is very slight knock back in HMX and that is why you have to work as a team. If all the unmutated are together shooting a mutant they more than likely wont get you. But if you try hide on your own you will more likely fail
Especially if you try hide since the damn xeno or what ever its called can see arrows of where everyone is -.- (that part was overkill for the mode I recon) -

no knockback, just stun.
also i hate it in HMX when you go after a flashy mutant with your knife and someone else shoots it. -
Even when I work in a 6-person team, with all of us carrying MGs, a mutant eventually still manages to get through even though there is a continuous, unbreaking fire on them. :S
Also, I've found that the Jackhammer is very effective, as a single clip can kill a few mutants, the ammo being the only problem (12/24) -

Yeah the idiots just can't resist shooting it.
It's a team work issue most of them play noob and play as a lone wolf and don't even try to play as a team. -

Camping is only an option when you have some clanmates or friends in the room, the rest will most likely get you killed because they just suck. -

I like doing this too, but yeah, more often then not some dumbass shoots the mutie before I can get within poking range. Then they respawn, of course. -
A.K.A start next to a mutant, get screwed
Makes the mode too much based on luck and actually quite boring
Spacing yourself out, having an escape plan or going solo until the mutants spawn is generally good strategy. Generally HMX is rather easy to play if you follow general guidelines of never trust anyone until you know who isn't a mutant.
Once the mutants spawn, thats when you get yourself into a secure position by yourself or with a team. There's a good number of maps where you can hold them off by yourself if you are perceptive. -

I would say that the knock back should only apply for the xeno because he has long range and more hp/jumps higher.
