  • If you must choose between Mamba and RAT9, I would recommand Mamba.
However, if you are open for other mice, the options would be a wide variety.
If you don't mind to use ambidextrous mouse, I would say you must wait till Sensei[raw] is out or buy MS intellimouse optical 1.1.
Among the ergonomic mice, Razer deathadder is more than decent to use.
Mamba's better than deathadder for every single spec but costly.
Or just get MS intellimouse explorer 3.0.
  • It's also a wise idea to pick a mouse with the type of finger style you play with.

Claw or palm? How do you feel most comfortable playing on it?

+1 on this.If it is palm i would say mamba. But i would pick deathadder from razers.
  • I have a rat 9 and kind of wish I got the mamba instead.

The 9 is great for big hands and you can adjust it. but its only wireless.

the mamba you can switch from wireless to corded.
  • The RAT 9 and Mamba are both horrible, over priced cheap mice that are ridden with unchangeable mouse acceleration and prediction and only ******s such as Rabbs and DNate would ever consider buying them.

    Overpriced? yes. Cheap? no.

I dont have mouse accel. think before you post.

sounds like mr i can afford a 60k car is jelly of a $120 mouse.

Consider buying them?Lmao. On what kind of drugs are you, sir?Pls give me to it.
Yes i would buy a razer mouse because its easy to use it.I tested myself all of the mouse from razers and light one for gaming is deathadder from it.Heavy is naga.So dont call me that i wouldnt consider buying razer mouse, because you are wrong, tastykid.
  • I would pick a better mouse for other games, You don't need an expensive mouse to be good in Crossfire.

    Basically, any mouse is fine.
  • I just buy the razer and it's good... So yah.If i were you i go fot razer..

It's best not to feed a troll. The kid doesn't know jack about hardware.
  • It's a known fact that the RAT 9 and Mamba's sensor (Philips Twin Eye PLN 2032) has unchangeable acceleration (ie. even though you change it through it's hardware settings, it will always have it because the sensor is flawed) not to mention the z-axis issue.

Just because I throw up valid facts and break the truth and even throw in a little insults because everybody is completely clueless, doesn't mean I am some sort of troll. Make yourself useful and go give my Mercedes CLS 500 a wash, Suko can help.

Lol @ me being jealous of your ****ty $120 mouse. If Gucci made a horsebit leather mouse with a perfect sensor that was gold plated for $1000, I would buy it and laugh all the way from the boutique about the fact you use some plastic child toy of a mouse for your video games.

    Do not buy Mamba.

1st it is wireless. Never ever use a wireless mouse. It is heavy, and it is way slower.

2nd it is too big for FPS. You need a small one for accurate aiming.

If you like razer, get their newest Imperator. It is smaller and probably the best Razer mouse right now with its new dual infrared sensors.

If you want a more professional one, get the SteelSeries Sensei.

If you want a cheaper one, just go google FPS mouse. You will find one for around 30 dollars.

    When doesnt he?

    ;)
  • I'd say get the Deathadder. It's not horribly expensive and still does it's job. The Mamba I believe is mainly for MMORPG's, and the Macro keys aren't going to help you with much. Haven't tried any other mice other than Razer mice, so I can't give you advice there.

Try Gigabyte Aivia M8600 it's better than bost mice you mentioned.

Deathadder is not for FPS, is too big for it. Imperator is smaller and more comfortable.

FPS mice are smaller than normal mice, claw grip or finger grip.

I have DA, it is so big.

I have small hands, and my deathadder is fucking amazing.
  • I have small hands, and my deathadder is fucking amazing.

okay you don't use claw grip then.

Claw grip allows you to lift back part of your mouse just so slightly above the mat for near zero friction movement. Which means faster movement and get your aim on your target before being fired upon.

You use your pinky finger and the back of your palm as support while you lift.
  • i've got a razer salmosa, had for about a year and it's done me well. no faults yet.

not entirely sure, just put my opinion about razer.

So... what mouse do you recommend?
  • I use a cheap, Microsoft corded corded optical mouse, and it's amazing. If you're not playing an MMO where you need 10 buttons on each side, any simple mouse that you feel comfortable with is going to perform about the same. Unless you're going into pro-gaming tournaments where you would need every little advantage you can get, there's no need to spend 50 dollars or more on a mouse when one for under 10 from any recognizable manufacturer will perform the same.

This is the model I have (although mine is black). Never had a problem with it, works great even on my crazy high sensitivity.

It is lighter and smaller that DeathAdder, not bad for baisc FPS.

had one, did me well also, wasn't good for aiming tho.
  • lol i bought the Logitech mouse G500^^ (59,90€)
the guy there recommended me to buy it...but somehow its big ò,Ó
Deathadder? It costs the same, but somehow the keys are too big :o
Is it really good for CF? The imperator is smaller, but 10 € more expensive, i like this one too.
help me , I cant decide between them! :o xD
  • i'd go for razer because of the looks then ;p

dont take any advice from that man ^^
  • Of course it depends on which grip you use to hold the mouse, but personally i found the Logitech G500 works perfectly fine. I notice people are saying a smaller mouse is better, but the customisable weights, useful placement of buttons and DPI (on-the-fly) alterations really make it stand out as a great mouse. It's not even expensive anymore.
  • Microsoft is win. They don't steal your money. They don't fool you with fancy crap. Even if you are the best gamer in the planet I guess you don't need a super expensive mouse (which it will die before the MS's).

that may just be your experience with mice.
