Try it on UK Server 1 - 4 and close everythink u dont need

Indeed, after the previous HMX update most of the people have their ping increased. I normally had 9 ping. But nowadays I have 20. However, Z8 decides it's not their fault and since a minority of people get this problem, they will ignore it. I sent a ticket to them and this is their reply:

Latency is something that is almost impossible to help with. There are many factors that can affect lag in game.

Our servers have not experienced any slow down, so the problems may be anything from internet traffic in your area, to the type of connection you have, to the speed of your computer.

Unfortunately the best advice we can give is to continue to play and keep monitoring your ping to see if it goes down.


This means, they don't give a **** and just suck it up.

Sased, it's not just kiwi's its aussies 2. My ping was 170-200 now its 230-240 with more frequent client errors and spikes.

lol they send the same thing to me taiwancat...anyways i have a ping problem the last 5 days.had 50 in uk and now i have 75.And in usa servers from 140 to 180 so sad..but the most annoying thing is that everytime i have a problem(mostly with ping after patches) they always tell me that is my computers problem or my internet conection.and every sigle time i have to explan again and again that nothing has changed n my pc and that i have the same ISP for the last 3 years -.-yea welcome to crosfire...

For the reply they probably just ctrl+v for every problem related to "lag".
The thing is, they know it's their server problem, but they just don't wanna fix it. We are the minority people that get this lag so they won't fix this thing just for us. No actually, a lot of people have ping increase, but not to the extend that they can't play anymore.(This is also why they don't want to fix client errors) Some people connecting from far away always lagged anyway so it really don't make any difference to them.

Nope, I fixed the problem for a few thousands of players. There are no problems in Uk anymore^^

you know what...why don't u post the solution here maybe it applies to the American server?

Or maybe give the solution to z8 so they might know what's causing the lag...

They don't care.

The solution in your case would be that you contact them http://www.q9.com/ providing the information they need in order to solve the problem. This would be the IPs of the servers including a traceroute to them.

The IPs I know are:
alpha 74.200.6.140
delta 74.200.6.138

Now open the command shell and type in

tracert 74.200.6.140

for example. Choose the IP of the server that is causing problems.

Copy and paste the output into your message and describe the problem as detailed as possible - and the most important thing. Stay polite. They are not meant to help you because you are no customer in their eyes. G4box should do what you I told you to do but they keep sleeping.

An additional information you could need is that the servers we are talking about are most likely based on Linux because the Eurpean servers are.

In the case of the Uk4 servers and the hoster Eukhost it helped. I wish you good luck if you plan to do this. I won't do this again because there would be no advantage for me.
