The human eye can track higher than 30fps, but most standard monitors won't display higher than 60HZ at 1920x1080.
Films aren't filmed at 30fps, and they aren't filmed at 60fps because it's much more time effective to edit special effects at 24fps (their natural shooting and projecting frame rate).
'The Hobbit' will be shot at 48fps, however.
Most live or unedited television can be shot at 60fps, particularly internet media.
Higher fps isn't just needed for visual pleasure however, it's also important for smooth mouse tracking. -

Well when i play at 45 and under fps I defiantly notice a difference from that to my 100 fps..I keep my game on lowest graphics for best fps..fps>graphics in my opinion. -

Mine is always on the lowest settings also, and for CWs I keep the replay setting off so I hopefully won't spike. I used to be completely stable at 60, ever since they changed the deaths and crap I've been down by more than half. -

For free pls...
Use XP instead of Windows 7
Older games run smoother on xp
(ik this cause i dualbooted them and cf performance was horrible on 7 even tho there was lyke no lag in explorer) -
lulz from 130 to 250? ... only way to increase fps on cf is about cpu ... u can overcl0ck it to have probably additional 10 - 15 fps ... or to buy new cpu ... btw u have more than enough ... watch out how much fps ur monitor deal add 30% to it and cap it as possible to avoid fps - laggs
example: 100hz monitor with 130 fps ... (but u need only 100) all above is waste of energy / electricity
notice: when u choose new cpu watch out of cpu-fps benchmarks for it ... and that ur current graphik card can handle with new cpu ... -
wow, i really had no idea, i was told that 250 was the best u can get... i was hoping to get a better FPS cuz i thought that was the reason i [Lag].. not sure if it's lag though, the game jsut freezes for like .5 of a second. like watching a lagger after u die how they jump, it's been happening lots lately @_@
