Pc Specs

Hello, I want to buy a new pc and I need to know if these pc specs are good and how many fps should i get:
-Windows 7 62 bit
-Intel Core i7-2600 3.40 GHz
-8 GB RAM DDR3
-NVIDIA GeForce GT 545

Comments

  • -Windows 2000
    -Intel Pentium III
    -512 Ram
  • If you want a gaming rig then i suggest to change the following :
    -Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3 GHz
    -NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560

Because getting more FPS depends on the VGA Card

For Processor all new games now depends on a processor with 4 cores which i alrdy suggested it for you got 4 cores the i7 is way too high for the gaming rig so i suggest lowering it i5 and getting higher VGA Card
BTW The Processor can be overclocked.
  • you should max crossfire no prob and play any other game smoothly.

You sir... I will leave it at that.

OP: Build is fine and should perform no problem. Try getting atleast a 550 or higher though. :)

You're on the right lines, but half of what you said either makes no sense or isn't true.

    The i5 2500K will, pound-for-pound, out perform the 2600/2600K.
Most games however don't actually support multi-core rendering, unless tweaked to (such as Skyrim on release).
Their technical term is GPU cards, not VGA cards. VGA is simply the slot in which you connect the card to the monitor, which, ironically most cards don't have any more
The 560 is a little too expensive, and heat could become an issue providing he doesn't have decent air flow, which I'm presuming he won't since he's asking this forum.

Get an AMD 6870, better performance, much better cooling, better OCing, and cheaper.

Sorry to go all nerd on you.

@OP the 545's a very low-end card, you may be able to find a 470 or a 480 for about the same price, if you shop around.
