Not sure whats going on...

I went away for a week and suddenly my crossfire stopped working. I un-installed and re-installed it, then I pressed Start Game. The original window dissappeared and was replaced by....nothing. No patch screen, no GameGuard pop-ups, nothing. So I tried again. This time a window popped up saying 'Patch Client is already running.' But no window? I went to my PC Processes and looked through it, and I found the patcher_cf.exe file running. So that backs it up. But I still have no idea why my CrossFire doesn't work. Can anyone shed some light on this?
