Mod just "carpet closed" a few windows 8 threads and made a closed sticky that xtrap does not support win8. lol! Anyone with windows 8 knows exactly that when they try to open cf. Forums are for helping people right? This is my only form or support since my support tickets just tell me to use the forums. take it easy... especially running a beta game on a beta OS.

Questions:

Will Cf/xtrap run on virtual box? This would be a reasonable way to resolve the win8 problems. And I wouldnt have to restart my computer to play.

My other options are to install a vista on a spare HD and just use that to play Cf on. Really not the worst idea but very doable. but I gotta restart, and vista noticeably slower.

I can understand why finding a way for xtrap to run in win8 would kinda be a slipery slope but any advise would be great!

    The answer to your key question is no, CF does not run on virtual box.

    CF does not run on a virtual machine.

    The only way to keep Windows 8 and play CF is to dual boot your machine and have a Windows XP/Vista/7 image along side your Windows 8 image.

    Also this isn't a beta game.
