prebuilt PC?

For the price, pretty moderate.
You could build an i5 2500k rig that'd demolish it for much, much less.
I am afraid I lack motivation to build it, since it´s not even for me
what parts would you currently use if your budget was 1k?
thank you. -

I made this up for my best friend.
It contains a faster CPU, GPU and a SSD.
Aside from the PSU headroom, that's not too shabby a build right there.
It'll be nice to know how decently the 3GB 7950 will unlock and/or flashed, or if it'll be locked like the 1GB 6950.I am afraid I lack motivation to build it, since it´s not even for me

If I were to buy parts seperately, I'd go with:
ASUS Z68-LX/PRO
Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz (can go up to 4.3GHz using stock cooling providing you have sufficient case cooling)
AMD XFX 6870 DD 1GB or AMD 6950 2GB if you're planning on playing alot of BF3 or using higher resolutions.
Min. 8GB Corsair Vengeance Blu
A 120GB+ SSD, not OCZ or Intel.
Any solid PSU above 650w for headroom/future.
Antec 900 case for top of the line air flow. Use the front to back pull-push system that I use. -

Just out of curiosity do you build computers for people? And if you do how far can you ship them, cause when i think of it i probably don't leave near you and my thoughts are getting demolished by reality while i write this. Damn. -

I do, I generally charge 10% commission on top of the overall cost of the rig (less if it's over $1100/£700) to fish out parts, order them, put together the rig, install Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and quality test it.
I've delivered rigs, but I've never shipped one out however, it'd cost a fortune
Aren't you Italian? I visit family in Milan frequently, part prices over there are pretty decent. -
