Having a decent ping and fps helps. If I play on a computer/laptop with like 30-40fps, I barely can maintain a positive in game KDR. Basically the enemy is seeing me before I see them...giving them the first shot. Tried playing with a netbook with a atom processor once, probably had a .2 KDR that game. Not real fun. LOL

Sounds like you lag really bad.

With high ping the players you see aren't where you see them, the higher the ping the farther away they can be from where you see them. This means you can unload entire clips into a enemy and not do a single point of damage.

With high ping it is possible to receive a death signal from the server before your computer processes what killed you. Meaning you don't see all the shots that kill you because the death signal takes priority over the rest of the bullets.

Both the appearance of being 1 shot and players not taking damage explained because of high ping.

0-40 ping = Awesome Ping.
40-80 = Good Ping.
80-120 = Decent Ping.
120-160 = Bad Ping
160+ = Horrible Ping, best look for a different game.
