Whats your favorite music genre?
You can be as specific as you want or as broad and also name a couple of bands form that genre.
Mine would have to be Heavy Metal. I don't think I can narrow it down to a specific sub-genre.
Bands: DIO! Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Slayer,Iron Maiden, Queensryche, etc...
I don't really listen to many new bands.

Yeah, the classics are best.
It's not that I don't like newer metal, but most of the lyrics are just screaming.
Not that that's a bad thing, but I prefer clean lyrics that you can understand. -
When I'm not listening to folk rap I listen to punk music such as 182, aar, 3eb, etc. And yes I made sure all those bands where acronyms first.
At the moment I can't stop listening to flight of the conchords songs and also this new oscar winner by bret from them.

Current library is at 1268:05:05+ that a lot of music. Which doesn't include mt classic rock old metal rock etc i got on cd's in a box not ripped to my pc. Sitting at 15791 songs.You surely have an overall genre you like.

I don't have a particular genre cause as years go by. That genre gets better or gets worse. Hence why i said genre depends on the year.
They have good and bad. Like in my opinion Metal etc. Died in 2001. Went to trash all of it. But then again I guess nothing is original anymore for the simple fact there are only so many notes, riffs, etc that can be played. Only difference is modding and/or changing the notes. Via programs or programming and modding your own equipment to produce your own sound that no one has came up with. Leaving it at that. Just like History repeats itself. So does music. 
Been on a Dubstep kick though. Guess anything that has LOTs a bass. Will sell to my ear's every time.
