What's that all about then? Three years or so of Crossfire and I've not figured it out (I'm a bit slow guys, you know?) How is it worked out? I think I've always been average but now I'm a bad lad!

It does nothing right now.

When it finally does something or matters the GM's have said it will be reset for everyone.
Don't worry about it.

It was supporting your team, if you are a good team player; you would get good honor.

Getting wins, defusing the boom on time.. etc.

Honor represents qualitatively the number of desertions that you've had according to your total games played.

It does nothing at the moment to your gameplay.

1. leaving a game before it finishes.
2. killing a teammate (only possible with grenades, and grenades only do 30ish damage max to teammates).

Teamkills do affect it.

Back when a hack was out with a glitch that caused most special effect grenades to one hit kill them even if they were on your team. I started nading all my teammates at the beginning of a round to check for hackers.

Before this started I had:
Just under 1,000 desertions.
9 Teamkills.
And Above-average honor.

After the hack was finally patched I had:
Still just under 1,000 desertions
54 teamkills.
Very Bad honor.

Thanks now I understand. My crap Spanish WiMax broadband often drops my connection very briefly - just enough for me to lose connection for a split second to the game so I have to rejoin. Guess that's why.

Leaving a game for any reason other then being kicked counts as a desertion.

They been slowly increasing since the hack incident last spring.
Most of the new ones tho are me accidentally nading myself well trying to throw it towards the enemy.
