Ventrilo or Mumble?

I was wondering, -before I bought one- which is better; Ventrilo or Mumble? Now there are many things that contribute to one being better to the other. So please make sure to use the format I provide later to reply.

1. Which has better quality?
2. Which is more popular?
3. Which do most people prefer?

Those are the main things I want to know from you! Please reply, it'd be very appreciated!!!

Vent.
Most people use that.

I heard mumble has better quality, but I use ventrilo because everyone else uses it and I like it.

lol raid call is free and effective . I have vent but I dont see the different between vent and raid call except for raid is free

I use RaidCall currently, but I'm not asking about RaidCall for a reason. I asked about Ventrilo and Mumble. RaidCall sometimes has lag issues, and voice and hearing issues.

Personal experience, I've used Vent only, and it's darn awesome. Mumble on paper is alot better I hear, best out of the four used programs. (Vent, Mum, Raid, and TeamSpeak)

mumble > vent

everything about mumble is better ...the only problem from experience is some people are too challenged to get in it...

Ventrilo is the best out right now, all tho you do have to pay for a server. I use Ventrilo and i love it, but we had to switch to raidcall which i am enjoying too.

Vent: Delay time on speech, can affect team coordination if in a pinch. Allows volume control of everybody. Very user friendly, lots of user options.

Mumble: Pretty instant speech transmission. No volume settings (SON OF A B....) Not very user friendly.

Raidcall: never used, no comment.

Skype: The best if you have powerful internet. Instant tranmission of speech, best sound quality. No user volume settings for individual.

Teamspeak 3: never used. no comment.

My preference: Vent.

Actually I ended up getting a TS3 server, based on what my clan members wanted. Works great so far. I thank all of you for your thoughts and comments! (AND YOUR TIME! xD)
