Continue to receive file changed errors W[2007] L[0] crossfire.exe
This is really getting to be a big pain in the you know what.....
02/15/12
I got the error AFTER I had disabled and then re-enabled my Avast. I looked in the virus vault and there was NOTHING for CF in it.
1. un-installed CF
2. deleted the program file
3. downloaded and installed CF again
4. added the path C:\Program Files\Z8Games\CrossFire to the scanning exceptions in Avast then added the path to the back up drive copy as well
5. got all the updates
played the game for 1 day and then got the error again after a Windows update came thru
02/16/12
1. looked in my Avast virus vault and found NOTHING
**ERROR: File is changed: W[2007] L[0] crossfire.exe**
2. looked in my "backup" but the files I needed were not there - deleted idiot backup
3. uninstalled the game
4. deleted Z8games folder
5. cleared my recycle bin
6. ran Registry Fix to clean up my Windows registry
cleaned up 9 shared program files, 25 file associations, 46 incomplete registry items, 1 system service and 11 invalid shortcuts
7. turned off my Avast antivirus
8. re-downloaded and then installed the game: file I got was CrossFire_Setup_v1085
9. restarted my computer
10. got all the updates AGAIN
played the game - left my Avast OFF
turned computer OFF for the night
02/17/12 **ERROR: File is changed: W[2007] L[2] crossfire.exe**
1. Found my Avast was back on so I checked it, nothing found in the virus vault
At this point I am obviously going to be forced to download and yet AGAIN to re-install the damn game. My Avast isn't causing the problem, nor are Windows updates. That's the reason I have kept a running log; so I could document what my computer was doing. To me, there seems to be some sort of issue with the damn HGWC plain and simple.

Ahahaa nice 10x reinstall isn't the solution for all your problems and file changed doesn't mean that your AV-Program want to get acess to the file / is still scanning the file. Just enable your brain, which programs on your pc want to hav acces to cf or cf-files like cf_g4box.exe?
Add the complete z8games folder to your "dont scan/watch" list! Or start cf as admin!
