A question about "gun collector" ribbon

what about 2 pistols? Does that count for 2 weapons?
Yup you can buy up to 6 of any gun, so if you want the ribbon whilst being cost-effective and you don't care which weapons you buy, you could always get 6 m9's because they're the cheapest gun in the game. -

lol, I don't wanna have 6 m9's only for the ribbon! However i have 23 weapons !!
PS: the Perm AXE count ?
Yeh I think permanent melee weapons do count towards the ribbon.
And buying M9's is the best way to get the ribbon if you really need it. -
It just says start weapons and knife does not count. It does not mention about thrown weapons.
There's a ribbon for Grenades already.
We'll put that in somewhere to make this point uber clear. The answer is no, grenades and starting weapons do not count towards the weapon collecting ribbons.
Duplicate weapons DO count, though please note if you sell weapons to reduce your total the ribbon may disappear. -

LOL ON my main account I still have gun collector ribbon even though I sold all of my GP guns meaning I only have 17 guns.
I had crate buster ribbon on ALT even though I only had 3 crate guns(now have 11)
I sold my Flash and smoke and I still have grenadier ribbon.
Maybe I will sell my mk23 socom as I guess I will probably get to keep the seal team member ribbon as the whole ribbon system seems to be in a bad need of an update/maintenance. -
