Z8Games Treat your Customers Better!

Z8Games it's sad to see how every patch you make always has an error. Not just a small error where we could let it go, an error of hackers, crossfire players pushing each other into walls and getting errors and server instability. I live in Toronto and my ping is 9 and yet I still get errors and server instability.

Yes we know you work hard but you guys are releasing guns that are useless to us. Nothing new and every good gun is always zp. QBZ-Camo took us a while to be a GP crate. Yes I appreciate your 20 ribbon prize equals to an M4 Crystal Custom but stop wasting money on useless items.

Fix your servers first. Our character profile should also be fixed in-game. I want know how much games of HMX I have played to get the ribbon for 100 won HMX games from Mutant side. Add some fixes towards the server's stability and fix the character profiles (i.e how many games we have played in each mode etc).

People ask me why are you still playing CrossFire? I say because it's a great game and has a great community. I love ghost mode and I enjoy the community. The game has great reputation but the sad thing is that hackers still exist today. Provide us with the PROPER customer support. I have sent so many slips for technical support, 1/5 has been answered.

Please help us to be your customers. Thanks!

  • I'd agree with you on some of this - but if you look at it of a different prospective, people would rather new additions to the game instead of fixes because they don't get the errors very often. The hacker's are understandable due to the fact EVERY game will have them, but they are working on it - even Saidin is telling the community they are, written about it and so forth.

I get 36 ping, even though I use to get 16 ping - I don't run into a lot of errors, I've played long enough to get use to them and just restart the game. A few fixes would be nice, but narrowing down the games additions would throw off the other majority of the players.

Don't blame their Customer Support, there are a wide-range of people at Z8 Games - some of them don't even deal with the things you are listing. They try, just gotta' be patient.
  • You're correct. But I have been waiting for a long time sir. I have been playing this game for since it came out in Canada/US. I'm not going to stop playing this game but rather try to get some awareness from their customers to fix some game issues.

Apart from the server errors, they should think about some website issues and some in-game issues as I have listed such as the specific types of games played. Also, the new guns releasing should also be a concern. I have spent a total of $200 on this game (it may not be surprising to some people) but to me that is very surprising.

Most of the $200 was to gain ribbons. If I was a little smarter, I would've saved my $200 and bought more games for my PS3. Apparently, I loved my Crossfire over PS3 because I had little quantity of games for my PS3 and Crossfire was more fun to me than playing Call of Duty.

Nonetheless, Z8Games should take some concern over their patches. Their patches are great I won't lie because most of the large patches have new guns and new maps. I consider that great but try spending some little time on fixing server issues, player wall pushing errors and character profiles. It won't take much time to solve those problems especially character profiles.

I appreciate Z8Games being a great company from my hometown Toronto and trying to satisfy the needs for their customers. But sometimes they waste money and on top of it release guns mainly on ZP.
  • I had this concern before, but Saidin enlightened me on the hacking after a patch. It isn't because the game becomes unstable. The fact is, it is even more stable than it was before the patch. However, after a patch, there is a lot more players that play. New players, returning players, and "normal" players result in a large scale playing and that slows down X Trap and it's autobans.

About the ingame/website issues, the mods and staff very hard at maintaing the site. I'd like you to try a day of what they have to go through in order to keep Cross Fire up and running for you to enjoy. Patience is key, and if you haven't noticed, the recent clan win/loss error has been fixed. They get to most of the problems sooner or later.

A little off topic, but I doubt that you played this game when it first came out. Suba Games originally launched NA CF (Beta) in Nov 08. I've met very few people still around from that.

There are some oldies. Some just made new accounts. In fact, If I can find my first account, I can prove it.

    Yeah, that's 09, and that's around march/feb time. I'm old T_T

On topic: The problem with server stability is that there will ALWAYS be instability. There will always be lag and wall errors, and there will always be maps drops. Why?

Lag difference between a low pinger and a high pinger is that the server will locate two people in one space. Once that happens, everything goes wrong and there you have it. It's unfair, but you can't really prevent it that much.

Saidin's at least 30, a little less. He's no kid and probably older than you judging from your vocabulary.

And of course people are getting banned. I saw people getting autobanned in midair, when they first starting shooting through walls.

We have not been able to reliably reproduce the "client" error that people seem to be complaining about.

Hackers are not an error, hackers are an inevitability. Please see this detailed thread about what we do on a daily basis for hackers. Hackers are at a low right now, if you think there is an error of hackers it could be because there are just good players in the game.

We give as much input as possible to the developers when new guns are released. New guns, useless or not, will come in virtually every patch. If you do not like the guns released within an update then let us know! But if you can form constructive thoughts that we can use to gauge reaction rather than "this gun sucks and is useless", it would look better for everyone. Additionally, it will be impossible for us, or the developers to please everyone at every time. While you may not like the M4A1-Spring, it was a pretty popular seasonal skin variant for a large portion of the game population.

The servers have nothing to do with the HMX ribbons. As stated in other posts and in the Ribbon FAQ (which has a link on the ribbon guide page), the ribbons were created to be fun and achieved over time. However they were created knowing that there was no physical way to track the stats within the game.

The developers code the character profile and game screens. We pull data from the database ourselves to create things like ribbons. Unfortunately however we cannot re-make the in-game display screens to show that specific stat. We are working on ways to make some of this available to view on your web profile, but until that happens you'll have to treat this ribbon as something extra on your profile for when you achieve it!

Technical support requests are often hard to field. Most of the time a request looks like this:
My game just crashed, please fix cross fire!

While typing this PM I had to 'process manage' another program I use on my computer to manually close it because it was not responding. However I'm pretty sure that the problem was on my computer. I am not running to that programs technical support page asking for them to fix the problem.

I am not suggesting that technical issues are your fault, or our fault. Merely the fact that from a simple message like that it is very difficult for us to determine the problem with the game. If you would like to provide us more information like what you were doing, the type of error it was, etc. Then we can work to replicate the problem, communicate with the developers and get the problem solved. If not, then we have to assume that maybe there was an issue with your PC and the best solution is a restart of the PC and try the game again.

Hopefully this helps shed some light on what we do and what it's like from our side when dealing with some of these issues.
