RACISM IN CROSSFIRE: To and From the BR population
As many of us know, the BR population has been a skeptic issue about this game. Many hate it, many love it, very few are neutral. Let's list some examples along with my personal experiences.
EXHIBIT A: Foreign Language.
Not much of a problem in my opinion. It's still an annoyance in a break of communication. Also, I read somewhere on a forum post from an official MOD or GM saying this was an English-speaking server. However, that isn't the case most of the time.
EXHIBIT B: Tag-Along h@ckers.
A major problem, that seemingly died down from the most recent patch (HMX). Most h@ckers were presumed to come from South America. However, it is just an as$umption. These days, they can be from anywhere. But, that sparks more and more hatred between the majority of the BR and American population.
EXHIBIT C: "kika miniping".
One of the larger problems of today. Let's use today's example, for me. A few american players and I were playing some Ghost Mode (usually 40-70 ping), with other misc. foreigners, mostly BR's (180-500 ping). All of a sudden, the BR's are talking among each other, and kicking all the Americans for "miniping". One of my friends were kicked, so I asked them why is miniping a bad thing, we have less delay, that kind of thing. THEN they try to kick me, eventually fail, and continue on. I then proceed to tell them that Delta server is the North American server for higher-ranks. The main BR kicking the Americans replied with "??? you delta is BR territory". Hmmm...
Those are just a few of the reasons that we, as Americans, are AGAINST the BR's. Now some examples of why we START the s#!t between us two in the beginning.
EXHIBIT
Immaturity.
A decent percentage of the CF NA population is immature. They always cry H@CKER KICK WAA WAA WAAA, or just p!$$ people off because they're too immature to realize it, insult people because of their ego, and more. It's sad that this is how it is, but it is. We need to gain a better reputation, and stop being such a complete and utter d0uc#3 to the BR's because they speak a different language. THERE ARE DECENT PEOPLE THAT CAN'T SPEAAK ENGLISH GUYS.
EXHIBIT E: the "miniping" issue revisited.
Taking it from the other point of view here. You're an average foreign player, with say 180-200 ping. You only know a little english, but speak fluent Portugese or Spainish. You join a game with Americans, and they are "lagging" around, killing you from behind walls among other things. What else is there to do but assume it's their fault? No one wants to take the blame for themselves, not saying it IS your fault, of course. But, they don't have the same delay as you, which can be used as an advantage. SO, I come to my next issue.
EXHIBIT F: The SA server.
Where is it, Z8? No news about it since it went into closed beta. This could solve MANY problems between the Americans and the Brazilians of this game. When it's released,if EVER, give them something. Many have spend hundreds on THIS server, if not more, time wise in hours and money wise in dollars. I would HATE to have all my hard work kicked to the curb because I live elsewhere. So, add a character transfer. If that isn't possible, get a few representatives and talk terms with those that would go to the new server. Maybe free ZP, 500% GP and EXP rates for a week or two, something to let them get back to where they were. It may be alot of trouble on your part, but it would be better than a global boycott of your game.

So, that's my opinion on the latest going-ons in crossfire. What's yours? Any suggestions on what to do about it? Feel free to leave comments below.

I want to know where that is, the problem been here since SubaGames with the registration page translated for Brazilians.
I don't like touching that point^ because it was implemented behind Saidin's eyes, as he mentioned one time. -

eyes or back  -
For me, I only care if the player are hacking or not, if the player are rude or not, and if the player lag or not.
I never think nationality are related to the hack population.
But the pain in ass is that no way to ask everyone to vote kick a hacker. On this problem, it seems racism takes effect, or at least the language create a barrier. -
Main reason why NA players hate SA players is what SA players choose to do.
SA players mostly hate NA players because NA players have a advantage in the game thanks to lower ping and more experience with video games in general.
NA players have had video games being common since the 1980s, we're in our 2ND generation of video game players. Many of us grew up or are growing up around video games, this leads to more experience and skill in general.
SA players are in a country that is still developing. Video games are just starting to become common with them, so many are still new to video games and have very little experience with them.
This is one reason why SA players hate NA players.
A combination of years of experience and low ping leads to NA players beating most SA players easily. SA players in general can't stand losing to the NA players and are doing things to start winning.
It is what they choose to do that makes the NA players hate them.
SA players are choosing to insult and hack accuse.
SA players are choosing to abuse the kick vote.
SA players are choosing to hack to win.
SA players are choosing to defend hackers to win.
SA players are choosing to stay here even tho they have their own version. -
*Sigh*
*Pause*
*Drawn out sigh*
You know what....?
I'm effing neutral on the whole one side hates another for (obligatory insert ignorant reason here)
I judge the individual on their own merits... if they have a 300+ ping I'll probably vote to kick though. -

Right here.
http://br.crossfire.z8games.com
the problem is, z8 games is not pushy enough to forcibly MIGRATE all these people to THEIR OWN GOD DAMNED VERSION OF THE GAME.
CF Latin America has been up for quite some time, but z8games CONTINTUES to allow players from South America to register and play North American version.
EVEN THOUGH THEY SAID NO MORE UK ACCTS / SA ACCTS AFTER CF:EU & CF:LA WERE RELEASED.
We need a North America ONLY version of the game, wherein EVERY country besides Canada/USA are FORBIDDEN From playing.
There is ABSOLUTELY (0) ZERO REASON for ANYONE to be able to play ANY First person shooter game online with a ping of 200+. NO reason. -
Right here.

yes-yes... so - lets ban you in real life? no foreign goods, you can't leave NA territory or you will be killed... Maybe you will be very happy? -
Right here.

I am just still playing this version because of Ghost-Mode. As you guys know you can find games with S&D mode very easily if you search a little bit. With GM it's a little bit harder, if not impossible, to find a similar mode in another games. Why don't I play CFLA? As somebody said I already have my account here and I don't want to lose everything. The other reason is that the GM community is not so developed there. I'm an average GM player (Or maybe that's what I believe in lol) and, to speak clearly, playing there is not as good as playing here.
I know the advantages of having a lower ping but I still prefer my 150~160 ping here.We need a North America ONLY version of the game, wherein EVERY country besides Canada/USA are FORBIDDEN From playing.
I don't they are gonna forbid LA players playing here. By now, I think that there is no reason for someone from LA starts playing here. That's why I think the IP restrictions should come soon.WolfmanWilly wrote: »EXHIBIT

The only thing I disagree with you is here man... The first online game I played was TIBIA (don't rage at me). As a mainly speaking english game what did I do? I learned speaking english. Not fluently, but enough to communicate with other people.
Today, I don't even let people in game know that I'm brazilian. The last time I did it I had a bad experience and I learned with it. I can't say that I understand what that guy did because I don't. Raging at other people JUST BECAUSE of their nacionality? That's insane, that guy didn't even know me. I'm here to play the game, not to change the image you have of brazilians and that's why I usually keep quiet in every room in join and IF I have to speak, I speak in english.
Sorry for the english guys. -
