Crossfire won't start.

I press start and it xtrap/HGWC wont come up. But if i alt+ctrl+del, it'll show that cf_patcher is running but its never showing... sometimes win i close my laptop, it'll start but 9 out of 10 times it wont.
any solutions?
i reinstalled and changed compatibility.
oh and restarted PC.

I am having the same problem. The patcher starts, but doesn't actually do anything and whenever I try to start crossfire again it says the patcher is already running.

Same problem on my laptop patcher starts but x-trap doesn't start
