There is no need to apologize. The sig looks great and obviously most people don't (or didn't until now) find it offensive or view it that way.

No need to feel sorry, it is still cool, if you have original image, just make it higher to include more knife, or even put an axe will solve the problem.

The best way is, put two "finger"s there to make it a "V", however, in some culture this is also a way to insult others, so maybe 3 would work.
