Random Ping Bug

Do you use the wireless? If so, you can test it by command
ping 192.168.0.1 -n 200
it will ping your router 200 times.
The wireless is influenced by signal and noise level. Noise source can be cordless phone and many other. Most players might use wireless because it is not practical to have a 10m wire to router to pass 3-4 walls, when the house has no outlet. If you falls into this case, and your router could not provide strong signal, you would see something like average 100 and up, and sometime pingtest.net would also reject the test, complaining can not connect to server.

My solution is a usb wireless adaptor with a long usb cord. I have the adaptor sticked outside the door. My adaptor is a long range model with antenna. By adjusting the antenna I can gain averagely 3-4 ping (mostly like 1 or 2, but sometimes it just spikes to 200+ to ruin the average). However, when the adaptor heats up, the stick fails and adaptor drops which causes a sudden jump of ping, I am considering to mount it somewhere by screws.
