new plan for anti-hacking

this post is more for GMs...
hi GMs,
ever played this game called RuneScape? if u havent, that game used to be full of bots.
now there are no bots at all. What did they Jagex (RS company) do? they preformed "bot nuke". basically kicked all the bots off, and shutted down bot websites.
If u think about doing that for Cross Fire, u can shut down hack websites, and update X-trap. thats win win. then there will be no more hackers in the future.
AGREE?

    If it that was easy.

Xtrap will stay no matter what till the devs in korea for some reason change there mind but won't happen pretty sure of that.

Comparing Crossfire to Runescape is a insult to Crossfire yep even crossfire can be insulted.

But anyway shutting down a website cost money/time/paperwork and most of those sites are out of the NA so that will only cost more money time etc. and asking the hosters of those sites is like talking to wall the will ignore you till the see some cash.

NO! i missed my point, i wasnt comparing CF to RS. im just trying to say, "look, this is what they did to get rid of cheaters." i didnt say i wish x-trap closes

Oke ya I assume you thought that since your pointing out that the should do it like how jagex is doing it, but oke I did point out that doing something about a website that is offering hacks and stuff is not easy at all.

Jagex probably paid allot of money to get those site's down.

And Xtrap ya really what can z8/smilegate/g4box do about it?
imo z8/smilegate/g4box devs etc did more against hackers than xtrap did in the past patches

xtrap blocks more the basic things like injectors/shade running apps etc.
  • Just saying... we wouldn't go into the specifics on how we go about taking off these hacks, besides what is already public knowledge and what Saidin has pretty much "declassified" on. :D

maybe u guys should try what I said, maybe sue some hack websites.

lawsuit=$, they gain $$$$ due to more NA players paying due to less hacks, the end result after a few years is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  • To make bots that do runs on runescape takes a lot of skill. To variate an older, patched, hack for CF takes little to none compared to that. So as to your suggestion with the closing down websites, and telling x-trap to update, won't work.
    Why?
There's too many sites with hacks to CF. New hacks come out every day, the only difference is a slight change in the code and a new UI. Sure, the autoban occasionally picks up a few, but they're only banned for 3 - 7 days. Unless X-Trap really gets to work, and goes at it like their lives depended on it...it's basically the same old dirtbags shooting us through the walls, or prefiring around the corner. Except with a newer, undetected hack.
