Yes Nvidia is not skipping the 6xx series as previously rumored. Nvidia's new flagship, the GTX 680, is going to be 45% faster than AMD's current flagship, the 7970.

But the surprising thing is that the GTX 680 is going to have a frame buffer of just 2GB compared to the 3GB of the 7970. Oh well, as long as it's fast, I will be all for it.

45% faster than the HD7970 would be an unbelievable high amount. I guess this number comes from a certain benchmark/game that absolutely fits the new nvidiea architecture.

However I would like to know the source of these data.

seriously, it doesn't matter about the actual specs of the card, what counts is how cool it sounds.

9800GT sounds wicked, blows any GTX 5-6 series card out of the water. the intel hd 3000? seriously, 3000? sounds like something from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
