Is it true that in HMX, when I kill a mutant with melee, they don't respwn?

yes it is true, also if you shoot them in the head they don't respawn but it's currently bugged so they still respawn.

Are you sure it's a bug? I think its meant to be so, otherwise killing mutants permanently would be too easy since the damage rate is increased.

In regular Hero Mode headshots is a instant kill no respawn so we shall wait and see till the Bug Patch comes out.

The only way to permanently kill a mutant in HMX is to Melee them in the Head to finish them. Any mutant killed by a melee to the head does NOT respawn, including the Xeno mutant.

Doesnt need to be to the head.
