Problem with crossfire....

I will not start for me... When I click the the green play button the only thing that comes up is the patch window for a second (which is normal) but that's all.. Nothing about xtrap or anything so the game won't start. I also uninstalled and re-installed sooo is there a problem with the servers or what?

Did you try running it from Computer>Z8Games>Crossfire>Patcher_CF

Try that if not then check the tech support section

Run it in administrator mode.
also make sure your computer is in administrator mode.

I press start and this pops up, like normal, but the rest will not show and then launch the game

Maybe you could try re-downloading CF, if you haven't already, using an alternative download site called AtomicGamer.

I've had a problem similar to this before on my laptop. After closing crossfire HGWC still runs in the processes and I cannot open the game again until I go to task manager and end the process. Just check your processes see if there is anything related to crossfire there and end them if there is.

yep I already checked the processes and didn't see anything that looked familiar... Normally I hit start and the patcher comes up for like a second... then xtrap and then HGWC then the game runs fine. Now for some reason the game won't run continue after the patcher comes up..

well i tried to delete some files and the Windows manager said the files can't be deleted because CF is running on a different program? Any thoughts on what this may be?

Did you check your anti-virus? Allow the program.

yes, my computer always checks for permission to run any kind of program.

If it is saying that is is running on a diff program then there must be something that has not closed. Go to task manager and look at the processes choose to look at processes from all users and screenshot it and paste it here.
