Patcher?

Hello there,I am pretty new to crossfire but when i try to play it it says this:

Crossfire Patcher v5
Your client is old version.
Re-install the latest version game client.

I downloaded it directly from Z8Games and did everything the download the setup and its even on my desk right now but can anyone help me? If so i will be very thankful

PS:I'm very new here so... You know.

Have you uninstalled the previous version of CF? Did you restart your computer after that?

Did you disable your anti-virus while downloading and installing the newer version of CF?

Sorry for doubleposting but
No you only made it worser i tried restarting which did nothing but make me lose my time and when i was downloading it was already my antivirus off so i guess no fun ending for me i guess.
I gotta sleep right now so... Ught... i wont have much time has this next day is my birthday
