What Z8games CrossFire Staff should do to make CrossFire better.
Hello all forum readers, staff members and crossfire players.
(Some of the following sentences are based on US West Server)
Lately I have noticed that CrossFire started to go down. When I first started, I loved the game 100%, but now the game to me is like 75%-85% because of these reasons:
1. CrossFire errors (Client Errors and Host Errors)
2. Black Market cost too much and are a rip off.
3. Hacking basically ruined the game.
4. No kick voting in Free For All, Mutant Mode, Hero Mode.
5. The I.P. Restrictions
6. Not adding 2 other servers (IMPORTANT TO ME AND A LOT OTHERS)
1. CrossFire Errors
Firstly, in a room in the server US West Server always has something called, "Returning Host Error". Once in Black Widow S&D, I got a score of 13-4 but suddenly, on the twenty two match, a ???ing random "Returning Host Error" occured. Another time, I got "Client Error" by accidentally going through stair rails in A site of Ghost Mode Labartory. It would be good if the staff fixed this problem.
2. Black Market GP Crates
I don't like the price of a GP Crate which cost 2000 GP/crate & 16000 GP for 10 crates. Well all I can say is that that is way too expensive. Also, getting Black Market Perm guns are also way too hard. "Unlucky" players have spent more than 50000 GP just to try and get one Black Market gun but they never get them. Make the chance of getting a perm GP Black Market weapon easier.
3. Hackers
Has anyone noticed servers such as US West Server start to become inactive? The second best reason about why servers in CrossFire (not including Alpha and Rookie Server) are starting getting inactive/really inactive because hackers have ruined the game. Hackers who disconnect room games or shoot through walls or speed have reall yruined the game for a lot of players. The CrossFire Staff should stop the problem with hackers ruining the game.
4. WDF? NO KICK VOTING IN MM, HM, FFA?
This is a HUGE issue. In these non-kick vote modes, anyone can hack... how are you suppose to stop hackers without a kick vote?
5. I.P. Restrictions
The first very good reason that there are not many players playing in CrossFire is because of the I.P. Restrictions. When restrictions were never made, there were foreigners who went to UK, US and Bravo, Charlie, Delta, Echo, Foxtrot which made all servers ACTIVE. Now due to restrictions, less players play, making nearly ALL servers (again not including Rookie and Alpha server) INACTIVE. CF Staff, stop the restrictions, people want to play this game.
6. Need 2 More Servers (Important to ME and OTHERS)
A lot of players have been asking another 2 servers. These people come from, AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND. By just reading that part, maybe you know where I'm getting too. We Anzacs (Australians and New Zealanders) need a Australian and New Zealand Server and a Australian/New Zealand Clan Server. Our ping (includes me) are sadly always 145-300+. How are we laggers suppose to play against such low pingers in Clan Wars and in normal games? I'm not sure if you are allowed to make 2 servers with 2 countries combined together. (1 server should be named AUS/NZ Server and another should be AUS/NZ Clan Server)
I wonder if you guys agree about my 6 complaints. Well these are my suggestions to make CrossFire a better First Person Shooter game.

1. yeah i agree with you on this i hate client errors like when your 50/12 on td's and you get an error -.-
2. i dont mind the prices on the black market they should just make better gp crate guns not p90's and things
3. i think xtrap sucks tbh yeah it stops old hacks but it doesnt do such a good job on the new ones i think they should have 2-3 hack protection apps
4.think about that if theres kick voting in ffa/hm/mm then when theres an ace there gonna be kicked and who'd f12 that
5.ip ban players who hack and stuff but most places who were banned play cf eu and things
6. yeah i agree with you there cause there should be an australian server newzealand one and egypt on and a turk one cause theres so many high pingers out there im british and i play uk 1/2/3/4 and have 21 ping -
Client errors were made to stop people from glitching in walls and boxes. It was a good idea, but they just made it a bit too strict, so it causes unneeded errors now. Doesn't have to be removed, just put deeper within the walls/boxes. Never saw the "Returning Host Error".EliteAnzac wrote: »1. CrossFire Errors

If you look at it from the angle of F2P people, yes, it is expensive. If you get ZP, you'll have a lot more GP anyway. Besides, noone forces you to use the BM. The normal GP guns are good enough to play the game with... And making the BM guns easier to win would only mean that everyone got the guns after 50 crates.EliteAnzac wrote: »2. Hacker prevention is mostly handled by Xtrap. Z8 has a role in it as well, but they're not the only ones. The problem with hackers is that you can only patch their hacks after they have made them.EliteAnzac wrote: »3. Hackers

Agreed, several people have already suggested changes to the kick vote system to allow kicking in these modes, but to no avail. Probably because the developers don't feel like changing their system.EliteAnzac wrote: »4. WDF? NO KICK VOTING IN MM, HM, FFA?

The IP restriction were not exactly something voluntary. Because some other company got the license to host CF for Europe, Z8 was forced to restrict all new CF accounts from within zones licensed by another host. Those companies have also gotten IP restrictions.EliteAnzac wrote: »5. I.P. Restrictions

3 things you cant complain about: BM luck, ha.ckers and IP ban. And I think the crate price is fine, if you buy 10 crates you pay only 1.6Kgp for each one. The number of cheaters isnt Z8game's fault. Go report some of them instead of complaining abd waiting for better days.

In fact, it is far from good. It is better to detect something happens than predict something happen for this situation. They just need to detect the (x,y,z) dimension of the player is in box or in wall. That, can be done by 6 calculation, and can be distributed to clients (so that hacker change it locally can do nothing, because all the clients in the same room keep this detection on.Phillybear wrote: »Client errors were made to stop people from glitching in walls and boxes. If so, the cf will always lose the match.Phillybear wrote: »Hacker prevention is mostly handled by Xtrap. Z8 has a role in it as well, but they're not the only ones. The problem with hackers is that you can only patch their hacks after they have made them.
Again, there are some basic rule of hacking (speeding, walling, flying, under ground, aimbot), most of them can be detectable. But when you are trying to prevent it from happen, man, because each client already has the coordinate of each players, they can remove the walls when doing aiming or hit-or-miss calculation.
We know that human review is very trustable, right? So program the human review would block many apparent hackers. -
1. CrossFire errors (Client Errors and Host Errors)
2. Black Market cost too much and are a rip off.
3. Hacking basically ruined the game.
4. No kick voting in Free For All, Mutant Mode, Hero Mode.
5. The I.P. Restrictions
6. Not adding 2 other servers (IMPORTANT TO ME AND A LOT OTHERS)
Hi,
1. As some peope already said, the implementation of Client Errors were a very good idea to prevent glitching/bugging. You can't find glitchers anymore and that was a briliant improvement. They just have to improve the system a little bit and it will be perfect.
2. I completely disagree with you. It's like saying that going to a Casino is a rip off. No one forces you to spend Game Points (GP) or Z8 Points (ZP) on the Black Market and in a casino it's the same thing... But some people simply get addicted to it wich is the most common situation, besides that, I think that the win % is good as it is, it's just a matter of luck, I've won over 8 GP Black Market Permanent Weapons by simply buying one crate (2k GP) so I consider myself lucky. Don't forget that Black Market probably is the thing that gives more money to this business so they can't sell you special guns for free.
3. Hacking is a problem in every online game, but there are games where you can see more hackers than in other ones, CrossFire has a lot of hackers but it isn't only the Developers or Z8s fault, we have to blame the ones who make the community like this, I guess that the % of hackers are 35% of Brazilians, 35% of Turks, 15% of Egyptians and 15% of other countries such as the U.S.A. and Portugal. <- Just guessing. We can't also forget that this is a Free 2 Play game, so of course that the anti-hack system isn't as good as the one that Steam has (VAC).
4. I don't really have a formed opinion about it... I think that they should implant the Kick Vote systems in FFA games if first they improve the hacking problems but if they don't maybe it is just better to keep it like this.
5. I 100% agree with you... The I.P. restrictions should only affect some countries such as Brazil, Turky and Egypt because a lot of hackers are among those countries but I think that they did this I.P. restricion taking in count that most of the countries that were blocked already have their version of CrossFire, for e.g. the european version.
6. About this, you should specify the locations where you would like them to install 2 more servers, in my opinion there are way too many... and instead of spending money on new servers they should spend it on good content such as Search & Destroy maps, not adding more non-realistic modes like ZM, HM, MM! There are servers that are useless, for e.g. FoxTrot, UK3, UK2 etc.
So yeah, that's it... this probably is my longest post ever ! :b
peace.

I agree with you. There are a lot of AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND players who play this game.
Two possible things might happen if this starts increasing:
1) They make different version for Australia ad New Zealand players
2) They bring new servers for these players (which I highly doubt). -
So basically you want CF to:
1. Be totally bug free
2. Cut their profits and make everything a fraction of its current price
3. Have absolutely no hackers
4. Make it so everyone who has the high score in a MM/HM/FFA match gets instantly kicked by the person behind them on the scoreboard.
5. Let people with 200+ ping who can barely reg a bullet without spraying make accounts in CFNA
6. And lastly, finance 2 new servers for a considerably small demographic of players in Australia and New Zealand whose combined total population is no more than 26 million people. 10 million less then Canada alone which shares its servers with all of the US and South America.
Will that be all? -

Good job wasting however long it took to write down the obvious... I'm guessing you took more time to write this down than it did for X-Trap to design a patch...
Then again, a turtle could travel the distance of a 100 miles before X-Trap patches... -

1. Client errors were place to deter glitchers, but it is over-sensitive and the staff is looking into fixing it. The host errors I have no idea why there are there though and it really should be fixed.
2. The GP crates are fine as it is. If the percentages were increased, all you would see is 15 Tommys excluding yourself, running around holding left click like morons.
3. This isn't even Z8s fault. Go complain to xTrap.
4. Because there are no teams, people want everyone that kills them to get kicked, leading to the obvious reason why it isn't there.
5. This is Cf NORTH AMERICA + UK. If you don't belong here, then go play another version. I'm sure that you would be QQing more if the bans weren't there and your whole room would be asian characters over your screen, and wouldn't no one would reg.
6. While CF CN and VN don't include you guys, begging for it more isn't going to make it come here. Even though there have been a number of threads about this, there are only a fraction of NZ and AUS players, compared to, lets say Brazil. Brazil is getting a server due to 2 reasons. NA players don't like them, and second, they have a large number of players. I have seen few if not no AUS players, and until the amount of players goes up, there won't be a server for you guys. -

2. Black Market cost too much and are a rip off. [i dont think so..you just need buy 10Crates a time maybe 60%winning...if you buy 400crates a time you make the rate go down to 0%winning a weapon]
3. Hacking basically ruined the game.agree
4. No kick voting in Free For All, Mutant Mode, Hero Mode.agree need a vote for that

2 servers would cost a lot of money and there are barely and players from aus/nz compared to other regions like us/ca
