how to use Mauser M1896?

I was fortunate enough to win the Mauser M1896 within 40 crates.

It has a burst function, as well as an automatic function.
burst function is 3 shot, and recoil seems very high. It's almost impossible to kill someone with a single burst. Usually takes 2 to 3 bursts.
The ammo capacity is 15/30. With the high fire rate of burst, the ammo goes too fast. Almost every time I die, it's because I'm reloading. and 30 extra ammo, really? It just burns.
I want some pro players to give me tips on how to use the Mauser M1896 correctly and effectively.

You use it as a sidearm, not a main.

I would recommend always using the burst function, unless you have godlike FPS. 2 well placed bursts should do the job.

Where is GodsGunman and VATAV? Both use their Mausers efficiently.

Use it like any other gun in an FPS game.

Aim, Then shoot.

Only use burst at very close range.
Use the primary fire for the rest.

Its single fire recoil is low and easy to control. It also fires faster then a Deagle so even tho it does less damage per bullet compared to Deagle it can match Deagle's DPS.

Deagle fires 4.7 sounds a second, Mauser fires 6.6 a second in primary and 9.6 in burst.

Only use Burst fire if you are close to the target. If you still want to use burst mode, then aim for their crotch to adjust for the recoil of the next two shots after the first.

I use this weapon so much.

The Mauser have 2 great qualities for me:
1 - the fire rate
2 - the speed when change between fire modes.

but have 4 defects:
1 - does not work well when the target is far
2 - reload time
3 - recoil for burst function is very high.
4 - the worst defect, mauser dont kill with only one HS.

Then i suggest this:
when your target is far keep shooting in automatic mode. this mode is more accurate and you have a chance to kill with 3 or 4 shots.
When your target is close click quickly RMB then LMB to change to burst mode and keep shotting. When the target is close one burst mode fire can kill him.

Well I won the mauser 3 days ago with P90 camo and it's been my life long goal besides the gating gun.
Mauser can be 1-hit with burst (3 shots) but only if if have aim. Since you drain your ammo quick, use it for close ranged only. (Burst)
Primary should take care of the far ranged enemies.

Well I know a way using burst to most times get a headshot with a glock.
Meaning it is helpful sometimes.

don´t use the burst mode. aim for the head, or slightly below the head and learn to fast-click your mouse. it´s all there is to it. feels like a stronger, unsilenced usp in counterstrike.

You should get a 2-3 shot burst before having lots of recoil, or just crouch + tap kill.

I use the mauser as my sidearm with my FR-F2. For anything long-medium range I'll use my sniper, and anything close range I'll use my Mauser. If they're within 15 meters or so use the triple burst while aiming at their crotch, any further either spam the semi-auto or switch to your sniper.

I have had the mauser for quite some time now. I use it in ghost mode primarily bc it is a one shot pistol with 3 burst. The only reason you should switch to semi-auto is if you are pinpointing and need to verify your pinpoint is accurate without wasting bullets. Besides for pinpoint always have on 3 burst. If a ghost tries to tank you, you should aim for chest as the spread will be a triangle shape, two in chest and one below it (it looks like an upside down triangle). always aim low for this reason so the bullets all register. the 3 shot burst doesn't actually hit in the center of the reticle for this reason it is not recommended to 3 shot burst long ranges. The semi-auto will hit in the center of reticle. Get in the habit of being patient with Mauser since it can 1 shot kill as long as 3 bullets all register(probably anything past 20m will need to be aimed lower. No need to spray the 3 shot burst. I hope this helps.

Step 1: Aim mouse cursor at opponent's head, click left button on mouse.
Step 2: When ammo is depleted, click the "R" or other designated reload button.
Step 3: Repeat.

Just solidifying the fact that everyone else is saying: medium/long range-semi and short-burst.

EDIT: Fail example. Basically all of those ranges are the ones that you would like to use the burst function at, but basically no farther.

When I'm in the middle of a battle, I can't reload. But before I can get into cover, I get killed fast
