Why do we have to check the events page and hit check twice to get our reward, I mean why cant it be automated like it was before... its less of a hassle and it uses up less bandwidth on your website. I like the idea of us being able to see our status but not the idea that it has to be mandatory if you want to receive reward. You should revert.

The point is to make it automated like it was before.. because recently I found out without visiting the events page you wont be rewarded and there's 'A LOT' of other people who also don't know this..
As your comments have stated, its not difficult, but it is annoying to leave the game just to go to their website ntm forgetting what you were about to do. -

If you don't click the event page, but completed the event, you will just get the items X hours after the end of the event.
He didn't log in at the right time.You didn't get it because you didn't check twice on events page
As for me, I was playing at those times on both days.. its just pathetic how I didn't receive the prize because of one little minor issue. -
If you finished the event and didn't check the event page, you would get the prize, but it will be delayed. If you checked it and clicked twice as u mentioned, the prize will be delievered at the moment. So clicking twice just gets you the prize faster !

The events page is a handy visual tool to check your progress. And if you complete the requirements you can use that tool to be rewarded immediately rather than wait the 24 hours.
It does two checks with the tool; first how many games/kills basically counts the statistic. The second check is whether you met the requirements and merit the reward right there.
You don't HAVE to use the tool, you will get the reward a little later if you met the requirements of the event.
The log in event required a person to relog in the game. Meaning, get out, close it, then restart the program and type in the credentials and log in again. That's it. Nothing too hard is it? The events page takes at least an hour to update itself, and bugs may occur as it is in beta.
