confused

and you would like us to remove the client errors that were put there ON PURPOSE so that glitchers can run free and not be kicked because people don't know that they are glitching?

im confused, people want to get rid of them, but it was Z8 who implemented them??
so many fix client error threads, but they are meant to happen, i am very sad.

Give client errors to fix client errors,
Make a BR server, allow brazilians in CFNA
Ban all of Asia, STILL keep br's
    Ha.ckers? Oh here's a new ZP gun

    agreed.
    Agreed.
  • Would you like to see people killing you through the wall without even having an illegal program? And people hiding in boxes in MM and HM or just rarely disconnecting because someone pushed you? You choose.

rarely is a damned understatement, more like every other game.. this is why. IMPLEMENT THE DAMAGE ZONES, NOT THE ERRORS>>>

Sir, if you don't know anything can you please sit down?

    1. Give client errors to people trying to glitch so they can win no matter what
    2. CF LA came out just recently and is still in OPEN BETA... for now they don't have an IP ban on Brasil but many people hope to get one as soon as it comes out of BETA (unconfirmed)
    3. Asia has it's own multiple crossfires (ie: China, Japan, Vietnam, and Korea)
    4. "sigh" Z8/G4Box gets guns and puts in the game while Xtrap patches hacks 2 VERY DIFFERENT COMPANYS doing 2 VERY DIFFERENT THINGS

You sir need to go back to school and learn...

    1. give client errors to ppl that get pushed by BRs
    2. they will never ban BR cuz every BR worth $.2
    3. I agree, though many asians in CF NA live in canada.
    4. agree . but they should hold off on patches until they fix the bugs from the previous patch

If it was " rarely disconnecting " ppl would not be so upset by it , it happens all the time , not just " because someone pushed you " , jump on a ledge an d/c , run past someone and just a slight knock can cause d/c if your close to wall etc etc , an before this i rarely seen glitchers because most glitch spots were patched and would drain your hp and kill you , i get d/c out of games far more times than i ever got killed by someone glitching and thats why ppl not too happy about it IMO...

    1. Well tough luck for the greater good this was put in
    2. Not True, if any player is caught hacking they will be banned, how can you say every "BR" is worth $2. Why don't you stop discriminating, grow up and play another game.
    3. Don't understand what that has to do with anything
    4. It's the Devs who give G4Box content and G4 puts it in, Again 2 Companys doing 2 different things. Also if they stop updating people (mostly 5 year olds) will stop playing...
  • Z8 does not program the game. They did not change damage zones (which weren't working if someone was cheating) into client errors. The programmers at Smilegate did this.

I do think the programming is a bit sensitive, and could probably allow for a small period of boundary crossing. Getting bumped into a wall and coming right back out should not trigger the error.

What if a hacker goes quickly in and out... you got to think of the possibilitys, it's fine as is

This thread looks a lot like a thread from yesterday, but I shall keep it on topic and try to interpret what Talon is trying to say.

I believe by his statement, that the Z8 people put in the client error in the maps to discourage those who glitch. There was a time when people would get in boxes or that pillar in egypt and just spray the crap outta you.

Sure it was annoying but I believe this is a lot worse.
Getting these client errors are a real pain in the ass. I was scrimming today at EE, it was a 4 - 4 tie. Being the last person alive I tried to clutch a 1 v 2, but the game just so happens to error me out while I was ducking from a nade the other team threw. Things like this really irks me, would I have clutched the match? Maybe, maybe not, who knows, but getting that client error sure as hell didn't do me any favors.

I think having that damage zone is enough. Losing 20 HP per sec while you are in a wall is plenty. Getting client error-ed out is just plain annoying.

I like how you said Z8 People... "facepalm"

Devs put this on I hope you understand that.

Way to pick at the weakest part of the statement and not address the whole entire post.

Since you are just a lapdog and have nothing behind your posts I will not waste further efforts in talking to you. My response from yesterday stands.
Happy about what? Them not fixing something that needs to be fixed?

You distort your words, change the subject, try to add subtle insults with your edits, and can't even hold an argument.

If there is a problem that needs to be fixed, it is the job of the people to address it to those who have the power to fix it. Don't try to suck up, and pretend it's all fine. People like you need to be exterminated, you're a plague.

Begone...go suck on your thumb in a corner. I'm done with you.

lol... You do understand GM's can change anything drasticly without the Dev's approval or the Devs have to do it themselves. Crossfire is not a game but a BUSINESS... People see it as blaming Z8 for everything... it's a domain name my god. G4Box Employs the GM's who "run" crossfire for them. Devs update the game/fix anything big. Whenever a bug comes out from a patch it's pretty much in the coding the Devs did. Again NOTHING to do with z8. Learn your facts before you speak again. Kthxbye look at it this way (from my prospective)

Z8 - Holds the title for Crossfire NA/UK
    G4Box - Employs the GM's who "run" CF NA/UK
Xtrap - Program used for hacking prevention
Devs - Who patch the game and code it

to my knowledge GM's can't touch the coding so what do you want them to do?.. yeah thought so

I don't know the value of glitching into a box for a millisecond and then coming right back out. Most people who glitch do it to stay inside a place that gives them an advantage (like the current one in ZM Venice).

that should be a damage zone soon, I hate people who glitch just so they can win T_T

You're first sentence contradicts itself. Learn English before you "type" again.
If you want to get critical with the wording "z8, G4Box, Smilegate, and so on" be my guest.
I'm a user, a customer. I see big letters Z8GAMES next to my profile name, so as such I address my problem to them.

If there is a problem, it is the job of the users to demand it fixed.

You on the other hand is the lap dog who believes everything is dandy, and that sucking up will get you somewhere.

A general question to the public. Does anyone actually speak to themselves everytime they type? Or is it just this RTOman

    1. i liked it before it was implemented.
    2. I WAS TALKING ABOUT IP RESTRICTION. AND I SAID $.2
    3. READ THE POST I QUOTED.
    5. DER. BUT IT IS ANNOYING THAT WE GOT NEW PATCH AND STILL ERROR.

    1. Too bad, live with it or get out.
    2. IP Restriction to other countrys having there own versions of CF derp.. everyone assumed Brasil for there own reasons.
    3. What's wrong with Asian players? Just cause people stereotype them to be good means what?
    4.... what happened to 4?
    5. Devs have to code 9 games of CF... it can be tough with the man/woman power they have

Customer meaning my point is proven that "crossfire" is a business, I don't believe I suck up a lot ;) and so many people demand so many things that everyone gets overwhelmed. If it takes time for any kind of fix fine I'm ok with it. You on the other hand has to have it right away... sorry the world doesn't work like this. "Lap Dog" Who am I a lapdog too exactly?

    So many things you say?
Loading Error + Client Error = 2 things.

The right way? Yes, after 2 months the loading error is not fixed
....Oh I'm the center of the universe. You know me, always demanding errors be fixed within 3 hours or i flip mad poop.

Mod Talonblaze = Awesome Sauce <- this for starters :)
I know how you like to have them smiley faces
  • Numbers are so mainstream. Instead of adding the simple "insulting statement", just put out your opinion and say it how it is in your opinion.

CrossFire isn't exactly what you would call a high-end type of game. In fact, it probably would be one nearly a decade ago. I wouldn't be expecting too much out of this game, but for a player's sake, G4Box / :)Gate needs to care for its customers or else it'll go off into a slow, painful death.
  • To clarify before things get too off topic;

Client errors > damage zones for stopping glitchers.

Why? Because it was easy for one to avoid taking damage from the zones and there were numerous illegitimate methods for players to even bypass those zones without tricks.

The sensitivity changes depending on the patches, sometimes its touchy, sometimes its not. But overall its an effective deterrent for most glitchers.

Sometimes one gets pushed through a wall, it happens, but it happens so rarely (at least in my case) that its hardly a bother.

It needs to be fine tuned in some areas, but it still remains to be the more effective way of preventing glitching. Other errors with such codes outside of that intent are usually either 1) due to the sensitivity that patch or 2) unrelated to begin with and was due to another error.

Ping spikes and high lagg typically cause these errors to occur more than low pingers.

reminds me of what you said about jumping in Orbital "in my case"... you are one of the very few that DON'T error every single day.
  • reminds me of what you said about jumping in Orbital "in my case"... you are one of the very few that DON'T error every single day.

I don't think that was Talon, I believe it was Hi who said that.

But I never said they didn't happen. Everyone's computer is different I know this, hence why I put in that it's my experience. I also try to come up with other reasons as to why.

But to answer your question, yes they were put there on purpose. Damage zones simply weren't effective enough, now its just about tweaking it to make sure everyone and their brother doesn't get these errors.
  • Ah... now you know how I feel about your "well thought out" responses.

    smilely face, winky face ;):)

That's how you know how serious I am and about how much I care... mmmk

let's keep this forum on topic before it gets locked
  • 100% remove errors from the walls, add them to ceilings in some areas, add them maybe at the bottom of the map if you fall through, add them in the cage at merida, add themin the area of Port MM where noobs glitch in.

Any other key points that needed clarification or can this thread be closed/or moved to suggestions and retitled?
