CrossFire loading problems HELP!!!
someone has hacked into my CF Forums account & has changed my message... few sentences here & there also added a stuff i know nothing of...added a lot of crap) (sorry).....which i have changed back..thankfully he got an old password . ............anyways my problem is I downloaded GAME BOOSTER & added CF to it. all worked well first 2 times & then GB would not launch CF. I tried launching without GB only the START page opens ( also when trying with/without GB ) & clicking on start nothing...even on Task Master no files show. I re-downloaded CF nothing, deleted GB nothing. deleted & re-downloaded CF nothing......................understandably I am getting tired please find a solution fast.....much appriciated

URGENT!!! cannot launch CF after Bame Booster
pertinent to above massage...it has all details.. I cannot seem to launch CF period...no matter what... I even deleted GB, CF...re-installed tried one without the other nothing works.
NOW I HAVE DELETED GB & RE-DOWNLOADED CF STILL NOT LAUNCHING....NOTHING ON task manager ALSO (NOT EVEN A GLIMMER.....SO THAT MEANS THAT THE CF PROCESS IS NOT EVEN BEING LAUNCHED) I have the best of antivirus, malaware & have tried all of them...................PLEASE ADVISE -
sorry again ...please can u locate who that person was ....he is anyways using an old password of mine....so apparently is not(shall v say) unto current events. The email is correct...but he is apperently trying to get my new password......anyways any help on launching CF would be greatly appriciated..................Thnx Phillybear

You'd be surprised how often people put their login details on here just because they think it would make us better able to help them.
Anyway, I can think of two possible problems right now:
1) You're not running CF with administrator rights
2) Your antivirus has found a false positive in the CF files and has made it impossible to launch CF.
For 1): just add "launch as administrator" in the Properties of the CF exes (both the patcher and the launcher). I doubt this will be the problem if CF has worked before though
For 2): You're going to have to reinstall it again, but with some specific guidelines, explained in this post: http://forum.z8games.com/showpost.php?p=2005204&postcount=15
I hope either of those solves your problems. If they don't, I'm out of ideas for now....
Edit: finding whoever used your account previously is probably not possible and I doubt it's something the Z8 staff even does... -
firstly thnx for the quick reply....love u Phillybear..teddy....& know what u may just be right. I was receiving mssgs from my Avast antivirus...i'm gonna follow ur advice & if ur still around after 5 mins will let u know what happens

With exes I just meant the .exe files in your Cross Fire folder: one is named CF_G4Box, the other one is patcher_cf. Right-click those, then select Properties. (normally the lowest option on the list) There you go to the tab called "Compatibility" (normally the 2nd tab) and you select "Run this program as Administrator" (lowest option). Then just press ok. CF will now always ask for your permission when you want to launch it.
