  • Only way I know is by practicing, also try to find a sensitivity level that you are comfortable with.
  • 1- Disable all mouse acceleration;
    2- Reduce your sensivity, lower sensivity may give you more precision;
3- If your enemies start dodging by running from one side to another, keep the crosshair at the head level and shoot when they pass right by it (Trying to chase their head will get you killed if you're slow)
    4-Practice!

    Please explain this one...

Windows Key > Control Panel > Mouse > Pointer Options Tab > In "Motion" group un-check "Enhance pointer precision".
  • Focusing yourself generally helps one aim better. Being calm and take your time with the kills. (Don't take too long, haha.) Rushing things won't save you. Being quick, but don't be careless.
As you do so, you'll do it faster and easier. It will soon come second nature for your mouse to hover over enemy positions and gun them down.
Get a feeling for your mouse and its sensitivity to a point that is comfortable to you.

This is just my method, not saying it works for everyone but it might for you.
  • Practice makes perfect, try to find mouse sensitivity that suites you best.
  • the one thing that helped me above all others was a bigger monitor...

bigger size screen with a decent resolution - everything looks bigger, including heads...ergo, easier to aim for it...and find the mouse sens that works best for you...

Use one weapon, train with it, and learn the recoil of it...

This is, in my opinion, the most dumb part of the OS. It called mouse acceleration some time early, but now it is called increase mouse precision in windows 7. The stupid rename cost me a whole night to figure out why the mouse is so sensitive.

Was wondering if the game can handle this setting by itself.
  • Its pretty hard to aim right since everyone got ping of 300.
  • do not listen to the people telling you to "take your time"

you need to be as fast as possible to fully use your startle/twitch reflex
  • This is what helped me learn to aim better.
    1. Practice.
    2. Finding the right Mouse Sensitivity that suited me. (67)
    3. Playing around with Sights (I played with the B Sight when I was learning, helped me.)
    4. More Practice.
    5. Found a few friends who let me use them for target practice.
    6. Found a gun that worked very well for what I wanted, the K2.
    7. Chose a mode which I liked the most, Ghost mode.
    8. Even More Practice.
    9. Keeping Calm and being Patient, and not being a Spray n' Pray player.
    10. Learning from my mistakes and adapting to situations.

If you need someone to train with, so you can get your aiming down and get the right sensitivity for you, look me up, my IGN is the same as my forum name.

Good luck, train hard, and pwn some nubs!!!
  • No one can help improve your aim
Your aim comes naturally and you generally cant improve it
I have tried doing so myself for over 2 years now and its still the same
But if you really cant aim good then i suggest you use a low recoil gun (Kriss is amazing)
Also if you can control the DPi on your mouse it should be atleast 3500DPi or you will be to slow with your reflexes

dpi has nothing to do with reflex's...
  • Get farmed by doop, it will magically make you better.
  • Back to the topic:

I think there are several things more details than practice:
    1. If you are new to fps, the first thing you need to do is to be able to keep you crosshair about 1 person's length higher above the horizon all the time. Many new gamers' problem is with the Y direction, if you watch them, they might suddenly lost view by totally looking up to sky.

    2. Choose a weapon, find a wall, trying single shot (tap) to a target (normally a small pic, painting, spray), you should try stand shooting, crawl shooting and moving shooting. Remember to single shot, and watch the pattern on the wall, and feel how long should you wait after the last shot's recoil go away.

    3. Try spray at wall, each gun has a different spray pattern, my AK mainly goes up and slightly right, my QBZ is mainly goes right and slightly up, however, in some instance I notice a left shift pattern.

However, the conclusion is, most of the time, the 4th bullets in your spray is not predictable at all.

Remember to disable the mouse acceleration, otherwise, you sense of control will be ruined and you will not build an experience.
  • osu.ppy.sh ... double hard maps would be fine ... this increases ur reflexes and aim control ... but it will be just small part of gamesense ... try mid on crossroad with friends 1v1 to increase ur taps and burst aiming on strafes ... finally most part wich u will be smart at ... not to get on situations when u should spin ur mouse raging to kill one enemy ...

    P.S practice make masters

  • I aim like this.... Don't really move your mouse to hit the target, let the target move in to your crosshair. If you keep the cursor head level and just click when they pass through your crosshair, you will never really need to "aim." It is a weird concept, but it works wonders.

    think of it this way...

if you point your finger and try to follow an object thats moving rapidly, it is hard to poke that object. If you keep your finger in one spot and thrust forward when you think the object will be ahead of your finger, then your chances of hitting the object greatly increase.

    Does that make sense?

Makes a lot of sense , its actually what the pros do , they wait and strike
  • thanks for the tips. i feel like having the crosshairs by the head don't really do me any good. they just run past it. maybe i don't shoot fast enough?
