shouldn't have a problem with xfire
not unusual that it has a problem with fraps and mods though.
fraps makes me lag, mods make my login screen haywire, other than Eye of the tiger, modded BGM music, nothing changed, and it was doing it even before i changed that. -
hm. lemme check. and i will be here forever, i am addicted to foruming, its an issue that comes with having no social life whatsoever.Did you get any .dmp files as a result of this hack tool detected error?

EDIT: no, last DMP file is from december 2011, the 27 to be exact -
Do you have any program that checks and fixes registry problems. Could be something in the registry that is messing up something. I use CCleaner to do that and i haven't had any hack tool detected problems.
Just giving ideas, not sure if it will help but it's something.
Also what anti virus are you using, that could also may be triggering the hack tool detected issue(maybe).
Unfortunately there are quite a few things that could trigger it. -

other than when i am joining a game or in the lobby, it only happens in game when i get a 3-6 killstreak. -
You know what I hate?
1. Client Errors.
2. Maps not loading completely, forcing me to shutdown the client and restart.
3. Host Errors.
4. No duration bans.
5. LAG SPIKES.
6. Connection with the server lost.
7. Server too full pick another one.
I have been WISHING for a server maintenance to be done, to hopefully fix some of the bigger error issues, and maybe so my ping doesn't jump and stay in the 190 to 300 range for several games, until I restart my router and restart my computer.... -

Well the thing is, I have never had this problem before the latest patch, my ping has never spiked higher than 113 from 74 and was only for a short short while, if it was anything it would be my router, it's old and hasn't been upgraded to the newer model. -
This error is nothing to worry about, you will not lose your Honorable Soldier ribbon nor will you be banned for it. Hack tool 0:5:0:0 and 0:4:0:0 are connection errors.
Ways on how to fix it- Restart your wirless router*(if you dont have one just turn off your internet connection for 1 minute
- Restart your computer
- Download SmartClose and let it end programs in the background (works like gamebooster)
- Run crossfire >open taskmanager >crossfire.exe>set priorty>low

OT: when you did a clean install, did you just un-install and then re-dl and install...? or did you do it properly...?
other thing id suggest is dl-ing mod remover (modhub.org) and use that, see if it improves it (resets more than just the visuals to "factory settings")
or ask in technical forum...they have more idea bwt this sort of thing... -

i don't see the problem, a ban without a time set is not a ban

It's funny because I was playing a clan war the other day and nobody wanted host as we knew they would dc (it happens almost every time). So someone got stuck with host and it was a 4v4 game.
The host starts the game, then gets the host error so it's 3v4 (we had 3 now).
Halftime comes (1 of them may have dced/rq not sure), and someone on my team has host now.
Second half starts, the host dcs AGAIN, so now with 2 host errors on our side I believe it was 2v4
In game, someone tried jumping onto a box. ANOTHER DC lol.
1v4. Fun stuff.
It's so bad nowadays that nobody wants to be host, and people will just keep leaving the room and coming back for a clan war until someone reluctantly gives in and takes host. 9 times out of 10, that person dcs.
