-Helo I need help to get into the game now??
Hello i read where AVG is causeing why I can't geto game. so uninstalled the game then turned of avg and reinstalled the game. then it say to put the whole crossfire game folder into the excepiond folder on he avg exceptions folder. How do I find the whole game folder then how do I get into the excepyions folder. the turn avg back on the play the game the sticky note says to do. Its driving me crazy I have not been able to play for weeks now. I can get the start page there but wheb i ckickonstart the whole page goes away and the little window with the orange bar that goes across does not show up. In stuch plaes helpme. and explain in easy ti understad terms to do to i can get back into the ganme??!! PLZ I need all the hekp I can get. thank you.

Soory about my miss spelled word in my message. I ned nepl to how to put the whole game folder into the avg exception area or where to i put the whole game into exceptons then turn back on AVG ai hope Ivvan play. I never get the error code the start winndow just goes away and I never can get to the small window that says its loading game so i can play. PLEASE SOME HELP ME thank you. -
Ok, open your AVG, then click "Antivirus" (first icon). Then click the button "Manage exceptions". There select "Add Pad", search the CrossFire map on your pc, add it, then press Ok. AVG will ask for your administrator approval, you allow it and CF is now added to your exceptions. Images: click the box that is in the red square on both pictures.

First of all, don't type in all caps.... and if you posted too early, there's still the edit button to edit your post within a certain time.
Ok, while installing CF, you have to completely disable your antivirus. Adding the installation stuff to the exceptions isn't good enough. After your installation, you can turn your pc back on and add your CrossFire folder (usually in ProgramFiles) to the exception list.
If you don't feel safe as long as your antivirus is not on, just don't do anything else on the internet while installing CF. -
I had to down load the game the slow long way and just finsihed
after installing game while AVG was still off i put all the crossfires the were there to put in exceptions tab button. I must have 7 crossfire files there to put in the exceptions area. then i enabled AVg then try to start game and is the same as alway of that 2 week. I click on Icon then click start and every thing goes away. the next window where I see the orage bar that goes across does not open up. so i rt clicked the Icon and theres no button there like the last guy said to do. so now what can i do to get into thegame. I had to download the game the last was the slow way and there was not the here button on crossfire web page to download the game faster. so I hope i don't have to wait hours to download the game if you tell me I have to start over. I even tried to select run as administer on rt clicking the icon but I still can play. this is the worst time I ever had to play the game or start thegame. please i need help now what do I do??? -

I don't know why the game does not have the fast was way to download game any more. I used toi uninstall the game then reinstll buy clicking on the click HERE highlighted here then the game would download fast. but the last time after uuninstalling it it must have taken 1.5 hrs to install ne w game. then I added more crossfries to exception list. there are 8 crossfires i put in the exceptions list area and i stll can't play. what do I do next to I can get into the game again. its beed 2 weeks since I was able to get in and play normally. PLEASE sone one help me I'm going crazy because the game is not working right. HELP any one please.??? thank you forreading all the other messages and what I have tried already to play again?? -
well I have wasted another full day on this game
I have wasted another full day trying to get this game to open right and i have even put in afew support tickets but they never answer back. so this forum is the only thing I have to try to get help. I have unistalled and reinstalled the game and have 8 crossfires that say something differnet I put into AVg exceptions button and i stll can't play. it read where I have to go to my computer and there are 2 other things i have to uninstall befor trying to reinstall the game but i can't find those 2 things the sticky notes says to do befor installing new game. does any one knowhow I can find thoses 2 tings at my computer then the whole game will be uninstalled be for Ireinstll a new game. I need help i wouldlove to play the game again soon thanks for any and all help??!! -
Ya I was hoping for some good answers today but
I was hopping for some good answers and was hoping a GM could help me get back into the game. it ****es me off i get some help then every one gives up on helping me. it says theres more than just deleting crossfire these to things you or i have to find on my computer to delet every thing. but I don't know how to find the 2 files to delet then reinstall the game. does any one know what i'm saying. read the sticky notes where i have to delet 3 things brfor i can reinstall the game. can any one show me where to look.?? thanks I'v been at this a;; day and have not gotten any where. -

Supply takes a few days to answer, so sending multiple tickets isn't going to help. They'll reply as soon as they can.
I suppose you mean this one? Seems pretty clear to me... If you really can't find either map, it's most likely because you installed CF somewhere else or you moved the maps sometime before: the maps given in that thread are the default locations for the installation. So if you can't find them, just open 'My Computer' and let it search for "Cross". the second most important thing to try with regards to loading errors in cross fire is to uninstall the game and reinstall from a new mirror.
To do this follow these steps:
- control panel -> z8games -> crossfire -> uninstall crossfire
- open up my computer
- delete the cf directory (program files/z8games/crossfire/)
- delete the cf directory (<user>/document/crossfire/)
- disable your anti virus
- download the newest client from our downloads site
- install the game from the new download
- add the entire crossfire folder to your antivirus exceptions
- re-enable realtime protection
cross fire does not contain viruses, however some anti virus scanners will modify game files as you install them. Make sure to disable your anti-virus during download and installation. You can add the folders to the exceptions later to re-enable your virus scanner.
As a secondary solution try changing the installation path directory.
